Halkenburg’s Plan Is Finally Put Into Action
The Downfall of Prince Benjamin is Near
Halkenburg is a character that has beaten all expectations fans had so far. He’s proven to be incredibly calculating and ready to put anything on the line for his end goal.
InHxH404, his Nen ability,The Boy Who Shoots The Arrow: Grimmel The Dissonance, was explained much further. It was revealed thatwhen Halkenburg shoots an arrow and it hits his target, one person from his group switches consciousness with the target. This makes Halkenburg’s ability a lot more limited than previously thought as the target’s consciousness can be awakened if the person they switched with falls asleep.
Despite the limitations, Halkenburg still has an insane plan that he will enact soon. He plans to finish the succession battle after his body dies inside of Might. This means that physically, Halkenburg will die, but he will still be in this Succession War as his mind is still there.

Halkenburg’s main target might very well be first Prince Benjamin, just so he can return the favor. With Benjamin believing that Halkenburg is completely dead, he’d be putting his guard down, something that will cost him greatly. With Benjamin freeing and dropping charges against Halkenburg’s bodyguards, he’ll be making quite a massive folly. Eventually, when they face off, Halkenburg will prove his true strength.
Halkenburg’s body will be transported from Tier 3 all the way to Tier 1. His mind is in Might, and he will have 10 hours to act and finish this. On the way, they could definitely run into some trouble, which could include the Mafia families or the Phantom Troupe. Either way, Halkenburg will change the Succession War, whether he manages to end it or not. The next 10 hours in Hunter X Hunter Chapter 405 will definitely be intense, and Halkenburg will not keep it all only directed at Benjamin, as it looks like chaos will erupt soon among the princes.
InHxHChapter 405, it’s definitely a possibility thatHalkenburg will try and take over Benjamin’s body, but it’s unknown how that would exactly work due to his current situation. It’s also important to note that Benjamin’s spirit nen beast hasn’t shown its capabilities yet. This could potentially save Benjamin and mean the end of Halkenburg.
The Story Goes Back to the Phantom Troupe
The Mafia War Resumes
In the last panel ofHxH404, the story is taken back to the Phantom Troupe, which is what was being focused on at the end of the last batch of the chapters 2 years ago. Nobunaga, Feitan, and Phinks will be major players in the upcoming chapters. When last seen, they were headed to the Heil-Ly hideout after Hinrigh managed to hide a transmitter there.
HxH404 showed that Nobunaga doesn’t want to head just yet there, however, as he wants to check on something else first. InHunter X HunterChapter 405, it’s likely that these 3 Phantom Troupe members will first check some things with the other Mafia family members.
Depending on how things gowith Nobunaga, Feitan, and Phinks, and with the other 2 mafia families, it might be that Nobunaga will call on the rest of the Phantom Troupe, which could cause a whole lot of chaos. Morena is definitely not to be underestimated and might make the Troupe go all-out.
Hisoka could make a move as well inHxHchapter 405, which would only make the mafia plot more intense.
Luzurus’s Death Causes Martial Law
InHxH404,Kurapika interacted with the third Prince, Zhang Lei, extensively about his Nen ability and the potential safety of Prince Woble. Kurapika had considered placing Prince Woble into Prince Zhang Lei’s room for protection, but he thought this could turn out very badly due to Zhang Lei being a benefactor to a mafia family. Kurapika believes that Benjamin might go after one of the three Princes benefactors to have an excuse to enact Martial Law – something that would put him in full power.
However, unbeknownst to Prince Benjamin, someone else is already planning an assassination attempt on one of the three benefactors. Indeed, Melody, as well as Kaiser and Beast Kacho, are planning to assassinate the 7th Prince Luzurus due to them suspecting him of being behind Fugetsu’s decline. Luzurus has ties to the Cha-R family and is their benefactor.
If Luzurus dies, Benjamin can blame this on a mafia hit, instead of what Kaiser was planning, that is, blaming it on a drug overdose. Benjamin could use this as an excuse to enact martial law and throw everything into chaos.
InHunter X Hunterchapter 405, the assassination attempt will likely edge closer, and fans will see Melody and her group somehow transport Luzurus from his room to the area with the lifeboats. The goal is for him to die by leaving the allowed area of the Succession War. This will have massive repercussions if successful, and the worst part is this might not even stop Fugetsu’s declining state as Luzurus may be, in fact, not involved at all.
Prince Camilla Causes Trouble to Kurapika
Prince Woble Could Be In Danger
For the first time, Prince Camilla decided to send in one of her bodyguardsfor the nen workshop. Camilla definitely does not have any good intentions. Kurapika is already dealing with a lot as of now, so Camilla causing him even more trouble might turn things more sour. As things stand, Kurapika is already dealing with Silent Majority, and because of that, he might decide to send Prince Woble over to Zhang Lei’s place, which sounds like the only functional option right now.

Meanwhile, Camilla has sent her bodyguard to protect some secrets. This means that Prince Camilla has something hidden that she does not want to be revealed. This could take up focus onHunter x Hunterchapter 405, and Camilla could be a central character in the coming chapters.
