Chrollo’s Hunt for His Treasure Could Be Highlighted In Hunter X Hunter Chapter 406
Chrollo Intends To Die
InHunter x Hunter405, Chrollo was a passing character as it focused more on other characters, such as Hisoka or the Heil-Ly. During the few moments Chrollo had in that chapter, it was mentioned by Bonolenov that he was on the hunt for a special treasure. This treasure is on the Black Whale, and for now, it’s unknown what this thing will be exactly. This treasure will be used to kill Hisoka for good. For all this information, it’s easy to deduce that this treasure that Chrollo is after is perhaps a Nen ability from someone on this ship. This Nen ability would be powerful enough to kill Hisoka and keep him dead. It’s also possible that instead of it being a Nen ability, it could also be some artifact that holds some power. Whatever it may be, this treasure will probably kill Hisoka, but also cause the death of Chrollo.
Chrollo, based on what the other Troupe members seem to observe,is ready to die to take down Hisoka, which is why the other Spiders are trying to get to Hisoka first themselves, so as to save Chrollo. Chrollo’s determination, however, will probably mark his end, and probably the end of the Phantom Troupe this arc. The next chapter, which isHunter X Hunterchapter 406, could showcase Chrollo getting closer to whatever treasure he is after. This treasure could be in the possession of some Kakin royalty, such as a Prince, or perhaps even a Queen.
Everyone knows he wants to settle it once and for all by himself this time… and that the “treasure” he seeks in this ship is an ability that he’ll need to kill Hisoka for good… that’s why everyone wants to kill Hisoka first before Chrollo can get to him. — Bonolenov
The next chapters will definitely be major for not only Chrollo, but also the Phantom Troupe in general, as many of its members are getting the spotlight, such as Nobunaga and Bonolenov.
The Xi-Yu Want Revenge
InHxH405, Bonolenov was quite a major character who took over a majority of this chapter. In that chapter, he revealed that he was disguised as Hisoka when he met the Xi-Yu, and during that meeting, he was discovered by a member of the Xi-Yu, Lynch Fullboko, as a fake Hisoka. Due to that, Bonolenov resorted to killing her. He did attempt to disguise her death so as to make himself that he was uninvolved, but the Xi-Yu are surely smarter than that, especially Hinrigh, who has been shown to be quite smart and calculating.
Members of the Xi-Yu, which probably includes Hinrigh and Zakuro, will perhaps find her body inHxH406. Depending on how important Lynch was to them, this could mean that they wanted to take revenge for her death. The killing of a member of their mafia family could be a serious offense.
Whatever happens after that definitely depends on who takes the blame for her death. Bonolenov was disguised as Hisoka when everything unfolded, so if they will blame someone for her death, it’s quite possible it will be Hisoka. This means that the Xi-Yuwill probably go hunting for Hisoka. The Xi-Yu have no real means right now to tie this back to the Phantom Troupe, so for now, they should be safe. However, this could change and have a bad impact on the relationship between Nobunaga and Hinrigh, which could impact the entire operation of the Heil-Ly family.
HxHchapter 406 could definitely start with Hinrigh and Zakura finding Lynch’s body somewhere, and from there, fans will have to see how events unfold.
Hisoka and Bonolenov Are Very Important To Hunter X Hunter Chapter 406
A major focus ofHxH405 wasthe reveal of Hisoka’s whereabouts. Indeed, the Hisoka that fans had seen previously in other chapters was, in fact, not the real Hisoka, but a fake. This fake was achieved with Bonolenov’s Nen ability, Metamorphosen. Bonolenov, who was posing as Hisoka, has now changed into another form. So far, it’s unclear if Hisoka is aware that he is being followed, but knowing Hisoka’s skill level and power, it’s not unlikely that he does.
If Hisoka does know about Bonolenov, he might be baiting him into a different location on this tier of the Black Whale to take him out. As fans know, Hisoka has made it his goal to eliminate, one by one,every single member of the Phantom Troupe, which would include Bonolenov. With all that in mind, the next death among the Phantom Troupe could very well be Bonolenov, as he seems to be in the most compromising situation as of now. Hisoka is extremely powerful, and to make it worse for Bonolenov, Hisoka’s Nen ability, Bungee Gum, is a perfect counter to Bonolenov’s powers.

Hisoka could easily incapacitate him by rendering him immobile or by even plugging his holes with Bungee Gum, making it impossible for him to play music and activate his powers. This matchup is very bad for Bonolenov, and unless he finds a way to escape and get the informationhe has gathered back to Chrolloand the others, he could very well die. This would send Chrollo into an even worse mental state, with the death of every Spider hardening his resolve even more to kill Hisoka, even if it means going down with him.
When Will Hunter x Hunter 406 be Released?
Despite news ofHunter x Huntereventually going on an irregular schedule, for now,HxH406 is still set to release on a normal schedule, that is, once per week. The manga is only getting more intense with every release.
