Hunter x Hunterhas been in the Succession War arc for quite some time now, with no real sign of a conclusion so far. However, soon or later, the war will heat up, and when that happens, casualties among the Kakin Princes are bound to happen.
Some princes in thisHxHarc are definitely more likely to die than others.
Princes That Have Already Died in The Succession War
Three Princes Have Already Been Eliminated
The Succession War has been unfolding slowly. It all started with the Urn Ceremony, and in this war, fourteen princes were included. So far, the only known way to end all of this is for one single prince to remain standing, which has led to a few princes losing their lives. However, there might definitely be some other way to end the war too.
The first of the fourteen princes to die was Prince Momoze, the 12th prince. She is the daughter of King Nasubi and the Seventh Queen Sevanti. Momoze had an interesting Nen spirit beast. This mouse-looking beast would ask its target if they are free and would keep bothering the target until they say yes. When that happened, the beast would take over the body of the target and go on a killing spree. Despite this interesting ability, however, Momoze was suffocated to death in her own room.
The next prince to die was Prince Salé-Salé, the 8th Prince of Kakin. Salé-Salé was never a prince that fans had high expectations for as he was quite lazy and unambitious. His Nen spirit beast was not bad, as it swayed people to his side. It was tied to his libido, but since he didn’t leave his room often, he never got to sway many people to his side. Salé-Salé was assassinated by a Nen ability known as Stand By Me.
The final prince to have died so far in the story is Prince Kacho, the tenth prince andthe twin sister of Fugetsu, the 11th prince. Kacho is undoubtedly the best of the princes who have perished so far, especially due to her tight bond with her sister. Kacho died when she and her sister tried to escape the Black Whale, as leaving the area of the Succession War is not allowed. Kacho managed to save her sister but died in the process. Despite her death, however, Kacho is not missed from the story as her Nen spirit beast took her form and is staying by her sister’s side.
The Succession War Will Have More Casualties
Prince Luzurus
Prince Luzurus’s life is currently in grave danger. Fugetsu’s state has been deteriorating, and some believe that Luzurus, or at least his Spirit Nen beast, is to blame. Due to that, Beast Kacho, Melody, and Kaiser, have all planned to eliminate Luzurus as soon as possible to save Fugetsu. The plan to eliminate him will soon go into action, making him one of the most likely princes to die. The group plans to eliminate him the same way Kacho lost her life. They plan to get him on a lifeboat where he will die due to leaving the allowed area of the Succession War. They then plan to blame his death on a drug overdose, which wouldn’t be unbelievable, seeing how he handles drugs.
Prince Halkenburg
Halkenburg has easily been one of the most interesting princesto follow during this Succession War. He’s very smart, and also has an incredible Nen ability, known as“The Boy who Shoots the Arrow: Grimmel the Dissonance”.Currently inHxH, he is possessing the body of Balsamilco Might.

One of Halkenburg’s trusted followers, Worio, has told Kaiser that Prince Halkenburg will die soon. It’s unclear what he means by this exactly, as it could simply mean Halkenburg’s original body dying, but his consciousness is surviving elsewhere. Halkenburg’s fate is still to be seen.
Prince Benjamin
Prince Benjamin was one of the contenders in the Succession War with the best chances of winning, especially with his great military influence and Nen ability. However, he has recently lost his brain, Balsamilco Might, inHxH. Without Might, Benjamin is prone to making bad and rushed decisions.
This could definitely lead to his eventual downfall. Benjamin might very well get killed, or at least possessed by his younger brother, Halkenburg. He’s definitely been put in a tough spot in the story as of now.
Prince Fugetsu
Prince Fugetsuis the 11th Prince of the Kakin empire, and she is also the twin sister of Kacho, one of the deceased. Fugetsu does not know yet of her sister’s passing, thanks to her Nen spirit beast taking her form. Right now, Fugetsu’s state is deteriorating. She is possessed by lower spirits and has been convinced by someone that she is able to use her ability infinitely every day.
The condition is: the outgoing door shuts if Fuu-Chan enters it, and the return door shuts if I enter it. — Kacho (guardian spirit beast)
She seems to have been given some sort of drugs. However, no character is fully sure about what’s wrong with her. Melody and Beast Kacho suspect Luzurus to be behind this, but that is all a theory for now. If they manage to kill Luzurus and Fugetsu remains ill, it means that someone else is involved.
Fugetsu does not have much time left, which means if the culprit is not found, she might very well pass away.
Prince Tubeppa
Prince Tubeppa is one of the older princes, being the 5th Prince overall. Tubeppa is quite an intelligent woman, but strength isn’t where she shines, making her a more obvious target. Tubeppa entered into an alliance with Prince Woble and Kurapika,thanks to Longhi’s contract. That contract states that Woble’s side won’t harm her and she will do the same. That puts her in a bit of a better situation. However, the real threat looming over Tubeppa is one of Benjamin’s men.
Rihan, one of the bodyguards of Benjamin, is quite a dangerous man, and one who led to the death of another, Prince Salé-Salé. That is all due to his interesting Nen ability, known as Predator. Predator was able to neutralize the spirit Nen beast of Salé-Salé, and he might be able to do the same with Prince Tubeppa. He is currently gathering more information on her and her Nen Beast, and when he has enough, he could neutralize her beast and get rid of her fully.Hopefully, with the help of Kurapika, her death might be avoidable.
