Unlock Pre-Requisites

Inferno Reap is a permanent mode added inZenless Zone Zero’s1.1 updatethat will become available once players meet the requirements above. Go to Scott Outpost and speak with Ray to trigger a short scene with the HSO and other Defense Force members. You’ll then be given the Foliage Hunt commission, which you can start by interacting with the Hollow Zero terminal in the outpost’s computer.

Foliage Hunt can be a little difficult. It’s a straightforward combat commission where you fight Ethereals and Nineveh, the same boss you fight at the end of every WIthering Garden run. The enemies here are tougher than usual, and with limited healing supplies available, players will need to get through the initial stage without losing too much health. By the end of the first half of the mission, you’ll have two extra lives that’ll be automatically used once one of your agents goes down during the Nineveh fight.

Zenless Zone Zero Inferno Reap Objectives and Rewards

Inferno Reap is a Level 60 activity, but given how you start with a full kit of Resonia, even a level 30 character can make a difference here so long as it’s not your main DPS.

The objective is simple: deal as much damage to Nineveh as possible within 180 seconds (3 minutes). You’re not expected to fully deplete the boss' health bar here, but if you want to get an S-rank during your run, you’ll need to meet the following thresholds:

You won’t get any rewards during the post-mission screen. Instead, you need to check the rewards screen in the Inferno Reap menu. Passing the thresholds above for the first will net players 20 Polychromes as well as additional resources and Investigation PointsZenless Zone Zerocharacters like Zhu Yuancan deal massive damage to the boss in one run, especially when combined with Nicole, QIngyi, and Critical Resonia.

There are also rewards based on your accumulated damage. Even if you’re able to’t do 15M damage in one run yet, you can still get plenty of rewards just by repeatedly fighting the boss.

How To Get Resonia Kits

Players will start with a default Resonia Kit when they challenge Inferno Reap for the first time. It has a well-rounded pool of perks, but if you want to change your strategy, you can always pick a different set.

To get a new Resonia Kit, you need to finish a Withering Garden - Core run inZZZ’sHollow Zero. Upon beating Nineveh there, you’ll get an option to register your currently-equipped Resonia as a new Resonia Kit.

Best Teams and Resonia

While any team will be able to clear Inferno Reap, we found the following ones to be especially good at dealing boss damage and clearing Hornets.

Notes

This team relies heavily on Stun/Daze, critical damage, and Decibel generation. Zhu Yuan’s damage against stunned enemies is extremely strong, especially when buffed by Nicole’s Core Passive. The Resonia here increases the team’s Crit stats, Decibel generation, Daze strength, and damage against Corrupted targets.

This mono-Ice team is very good at keeping enemies frozen. Lycaon’s strong Daze build-up and Soukaku’s damage buffs work together to make sureEllen deals as much damage as possiblein and out of damage windows. The Resonia setup here is more or less the same as above, except Ether is replaced with Freeze Resonia that increase the team’s Crit DMG.

This is an Anomaly team that focuses on Burn and Assault. The Window Breaker and Claw Hammer Resonia turn Piper into a pseudo-Stunner, letting Soldier 11 enjoy bonus Fire DMG from her Core Passive while inflicting as much Burn as possible. The Resonia kit here uses the usual Crit stack plus Daze/Assault-oriented Onslaught perks and Burn-related Ignite Resonia.
