Countdown Is #2 On The Amazon Prime Video Charts, And Supernatural Fans Will Love It
According toFlix Patrol,Countdownis number two on the Amazon Prime Video charts.It’s the perfect replacement forSupernaturalsince it features Ackles in another compelling and weighty role. This time around, he plays Detective Mark Meachum, who was once an Army Ranger. After a Homeland Security agent is brutally killed, Meachum becomes part of a powerful task force to crack the case. With such an interesting premise, it’s easy to imagineCountdownbecominga beloved show that lasts for several seasons.
Although the show hasn’t been a hit with critics and has a surprisingly low Rotten Tomatoes rating of 38% despite the hype around it,Countdownhas a more respectable 73% on the Popcornmeter. Although it’s a crime/action drama, it shares a lot in common withSupernaturalas both shows feature engaging characters trying to help others and do the right thing.

“There was action and salty characters — there was the ‘will they or won’t they’ , are they going to make it? Are they going to save everyone and catch the bad guys?”
