Gojo Satoru is a beloved character inJJK, and it wouldn’t be a stretch to say thatGojo is the most popular character in the entire series, having made himself the face of the entire franchise as of late. Gojo isn’t just a pretty face, however. Fans know him to be the strongest modern sorcerer, whose skill is on the same level as that of Sukuna. In the last saga ofJujutsu Kaisen, fans even got to see these two titans engage in battle, in Shinjuku Showdown, and while this clash was absolutely incredible, the advantage that Sukuna held saw to it that he was the victor and, in the process, Gojo ended up losing his life.
This was hard for the fans to believe at first, however, nearly a year later, most fans have come to accept the fact that Gojo has now officially died. That said, even though Gojo is dead, his body is still being utilized by someone else, and that raises an interesting question of what will happen to it as the series nears its end.

Gojo Fell To Sukuna’s Dismantle
Gojo Satoru died in Shinjuku Showdownin an exciting battle with Sukuna. The two were alwaysdestined to clash. In fact, they even fought at the very beginning of the series. Back when Gojo and Sukuna had their first fight, Gojo was the victor, and this wasn’t a surprise to any fan, given thatSukuna was far from his full strength. However, in Shinjuku Showdown, Sukuna was at full strength due to having most of his fingers, and at the same time, Gojo was at the peak of his abilities as well. This was an incredibly exciting clash for the fans to witness, and it showcased both of them utilizing the pinnacle of their abilities.
Right from the get-go, fans could see thatGojo versus Sukuna was an evenly-matched fight. There were instances where Sukuna took the front foot and held a position of dominance, and there were others where Gojo made Sukuna sweat for the first time in centuries, and at the same time, the modern sorcerer held a great advantage. This fight could have gone either way had Sukuna not had theadvantage of the 10 Shadows Technique. However, Mahoraga ended up giving Sukuna a way to improve his cursed technique and adapt to Gojo’s Infinity. Sukuna was able to do just that and tear through it with his World Splitting Dismantle. This attack was incredibly powerful, and it chopped through Goji’s infinity, cutting his body down in half as well.
This was a very powerful attack that came out of absolutely nowhere, and along with taking Gojo by shock, it did the same to the fans as well. In JJK chapter 236,Gojo Satoru officially met his end. This chapter remains one of the most shocking ones in the entire series, as it presented something that fans would never have guessed would happen, especially in that manner.
How Yuta Took Over Gojo’s Body And Fought Sukuna
Yuta Okkotsu Gained Access To Gojo’s Body
When Gojo died, fans knew that there washope for his return.However, readers were quick to dismiss this idea simply because there was no plausible way for him to return. While that is debatable in itself, fans did get to see Gojo return to the battlefield in a way. His body was moved from Shinjuku, thanks to Ui Ui’s technique. Later, it was stitched up by none other than Shoko, and after, Yuta used itin his battle against Sukuna, as he had been transported to the same place as well. Yuta was going to die in his original body, and that is when he decided to make theswitch using the brain-hopping techniquethat he copied from Kenjaku. Because of this ultimate trump card that he had up his sleeve, Yuta was able to jump bodies and take control of Gojo.

Interestingly enough, this was not something Yuta did on a whim. In fact, he had already discussed this with Gojo, who had given him permission to utilize his body because, according to him, he was dead anyway, so it didn’t matter what Yuta did or did not do. After Yuta got confirmation from him, he jumped into Gojo’s body, and thanks to the training that he had undergone prior to the beginning of Shinjuku Showdown, which happened when he switched with Gojo, he became proficient in the usage of the Limitless technique to a certain extent.
After taking over Gojo’s body, Yuta was seen returning to the battlefield, this time stronger than ever. Immediately after returning to the battlefield, he expanded his domain, and this time, it wasUnlimited Void. Sukuna fought against him using his own domain, and while this domain clash was certainly very interesting, it did not result in the victory of any individual. Yuta did manage to use the powerful Hollow Purple on Sukuna, but, due to the lack of control over it, he could not create a perfect Hollow Purple or even threaten Sukuna like Gojo did. Regardless, Yuta wanted to continue fighting against Sukuna, but, unfortunately, his time ran out, and heessentially collapsed on the floor,and fans have not seen him ever since.
What Is Next For Gojo’s Body In Jujutsu Kaisen?
Gojo Satoru Might Be Gone Forever
It is very interesting to predictwhat will happen to Gojo’s body laterdown the line inJujutsu Kaisen. For now, he has completely collapsed. Fans know that Kenjaku’s technique has now turned off, which means either Yuta is dying slowly or he is simplygetting stuck in Gojo’s body forever. The fact that Gojo’s body isn’t moving, however, does not imply the latter possibility at all. This means that right now, Yuta is due to die a slow death in this body, and that is where the trouble begins.

Not only is Yuta’s life in danger, but his connection to Rika could also potentially be severed forever. However, fans know that the author isreluctant to kill off Yuta, especially right now. If Gege wanted Yuta to die, he could have already done so, especially at the end of his fight with Sukuna. But, he chooses to avoid that, andYuta still has consciousness in Gojo’s body, which suggests that there might be something that is going to help heal Yuta or help him return to his main body. If that were made possible somehow, then Gojo’s body remains on the battlefield still.
The best way for this story to conclude would befor Gojo to receive a proper burialby Yuji and Megumi once the war is officially over and Sukuna is defeated. However, there is also something else that they can do and that is hope for Gojo’s return. If he doesn’t return, which fans would absolutely love, he is truly going to be a force to be reckoned with.
