Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2might have arrived early this year, but that hasn’t stopped it from striving to prolong its lifespan through 2025 with various downloadable content packs. So far, it has only released its Brushes With Death DLC, but its Legacy of the Forge expansion is now just around the corner, slated to launch sometime this fall. Currently, the only details aboutKingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Legacy of the Forge DLC describe it tasking Henry with restoring a forge in Kuttenberg, with speculation wondering just how far that restoration project will let players run.
While it hasn’t been outright confirmed, it would make sense for Legacy of the Forge to allow players to fully customize the forge they will be required to rebuild. However, it’s also possible thatKingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s next DLC will take things even further than that by granting players a much more extensive gameplay loop reminiscent of the first game’s From the Ashes DLC, which saw Henry working together with others to build an entire village. Whatever it ends up looking like in the end, though,Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s mapalready has the perfect setting laid out for Legacy of the Forge, even down to a marked location that seems like it’s almost reserved for the DLC.

The ‘Abandoned Forge’ Has All the Ingredients for a Fully Fledged DLC Hub
Since Henry will be restoring a forge inKingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Legacy of the Forge DLC and not building one from scratch, it would presumably begin with one that is already in the game but broken down, tattered, and even abandoned. As it turns out, near the western border of Kuttenberg, players can find a marked location labeled “Abandoned Forge” and can even complete an unlisted side quest that theKingdom Come: Deliverance 2communityhas informally titled “Tooth Hurty.” Here, players help an NPC named Benesh pull out his aching tooth using their Craftsmanship skill.

At the Abandoned Forge location inKingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Kuttenberg, an abandoned forge can indeed be found, but that’s not the only thing. Across from the abandoned forge is what appears to be a tavern, as a sign outside the wall indicates a tavern that was once a fully-fledged, owned, and operated business. Near the edge of the Abandoned Forge area is yet another building in a dilapidated condition, practically begging for someone to come and restore it. Needless to say, it’s the perfect location forKingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Legacy of the Forge DLC.
Henry Could Rebuild More Than Just a Forge
Legacy of the Forge wouldn’t have to limit Henry to just rebuilding the forge at the Abandoned Forge location either, especially with a tavern so close by. At this point, it would make sense for players to invest in something that could earn them a passive income while they play the game, and rebuilding the tavern, hiring management for it, and perhaps even helping run it would be the perfect way to accomplish that. Additionally, the other building in the area could even serve as a fully customizable home for Henry, which would fit right in withKingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s realism.
If Warhorse really is setting the stage for something bigger withKingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Legacy of the Forge DLC, then it doesn’t get more obvious than the Abandoned Forge in western Kuttenberg. The area already has a forge, a tavern, and another broken-down building, all clustered together, ripe for reconstruction. It’s almost too perfect to ignore.
