Eleventh Hour Games has revealed new details aboutLast EpochSeason 3, including new character class reworks and gear. Season 3 ofLast Epoch, titled “Beneath Ancient Skies,” arrives just a few weeks removed from Krafton’s acquisition of the game’s studio.
Krafton announced its acquisition of Eleventh Hour Games on July 25, and studio CEO Judd Cobler expressed excitement aboutLast Epochhaving more resources and opportunities under Krafton’s publishing umbrella, despite the ongoing controversy surrounding the publisher’s lawsuit against Subnautica 2’s studio founders. Fortunately, plans forLast Epochcontinue unabated, with Season 3: Beneath Ancient Skies scheduled for release on August 21.
A new trailer forLast EpochSeason 3 has been released, and several new details about character class reworks, new gear, and more were revealed, as reported byPCGamesN. The new update will add the next chapter of Last Epoch’s main story, which focuses on the Ancient Era. Players will head back to the prehistoric period to hunt down the Rift Beast that lurks in chaotic rifts, and various classes will be reworked to prepare players for their journey. The Season 3 update will reworkAcolyte’s Lich and Necromancer subclasses, with both expected to receive overhauled passive skills. There will also be new dual-wielding options, the brand-new Flay skill, and balancing adjustments to minions for both the Necromancer and Primalist’s Beastmaster.
Last Epoch Season 3 Will Bring Acolyte and Primalist Class Reworks, Primordial Gear, and New Features
Along with the class reworks,Last EpochSeason 3will introduce new “primordial exalted items” and “primordial uniques,” which are new gear items that offer additional skills and bonuses. A few of these new gear pieces were confirmed, such as the Tyrant’s Skill, Wildfire Embers, and Legends Entwined. Tyrant’s Skill is a relic capable of summoning a Tyrannosaur minion, Wildfire Embers is an amulet that spreads ignite and creates Wildfire Wisps that can copy the player’s fire skills, and Legends Entwined is a powerful ring that “counts as part of every equipped item set” and grants bonuses based on the number of complete item sets being worn.
Similarly toLast EpochSeason 2, there will be several new features in Season 3 as well. Eleventh Hour Games teased other changes and additions toLast Epoch, including the ability to use purchased cosmetics when playing the game in offline mode in Season 3. What’s more, the Merchant’s Guild will have a new token that can replace the favor cost of purchases, the search for unique items will be improved to include roll ranges, and a quick set filter option will be available.
