The most challenging part of his recovery included a craniotomy, a procedure where doctors opened his skull to relieve pressure. Despite the tough experience, Whatley kept it lighthearted by giving his baldness an “S-Tier” rank along with his brain injuries, saying the hair loss felt just as impactful as the life-threatening injuries. Among Whatley’s other injuries were serious hemorrhages in both eyes and fractures in his pelvis, spine, and foot. Yet, his humor stayed strong, as he joked in his video, “These injuries might be worse medically, but this baldness hurts more socially.”

Whatley even described his injuries as having a “stupidly high death rate,” but said he found comfort in his ability to laugh about it, hoping his story might inspire his fans to find humor in life’s toughest setbacks. Alongside his lighthearted injury ranking, Whatley also talked about theLeague of LegendsWorld Championship, which started in early October and is traveling through Europe, with the final scheduled for November 2 in Paris. Despite his doctors advising against it, Whatley insisted he wouldn’t miss the event.
