With an averageOpenCriticscore of 81, the game has been applauded for its rich open world and stealth elements more reminiscent of earlier games in the franchise. During a recent quarterly earnings call (reported byIGN), Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot and CFO Frederick Duguet nearly confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Shadowsis coming to the Switch 2. After discussing unannounced titles, Duguet responded to a question from an investor, stating that the company has a game “that will be launched on the Switch 2” during the current fiscal year, which ends in March 2026. Following this, Guillemot answered another question surroundingAssassin’s Creed Shadows, stating that “some new versions will be coming to other machines.” The game is already available on all modern systems, leading many to believe that a Switch 2 version is imminent. Ubisoft Executives Seemingly Confirm That Assassin’s Creed Shadows Is Coming to the Switch 2

The DLC will include around 10 hours of new story content, along with a new locale, new enemies, and additional abilities for both Yasuke and Naoe. A rumored co-op mode is believed to be on the way sometime in 2026.
