Marvel Rivalshas revealed fresh gameplay of the upcoming Phoenix Demon skin for the popular Duelist Magik, which is scheduled to arrive in the hero shooter’s shop on July 31 at 7 PM PDT. NetEase Games recently added Jean Grey toMarvel Rivalsas the Duelist Phoenix with the launch of Season 3.
While many gamers have been enjoying their time with the new hero Phoenix, some players are concerned that there may betoo many Duelists inMarvel Rivals. As of writing, Duelists outnumber both Vanguards and Strategists, even though all three roles are essential to a balanced team composition. While many fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Blade on August 8, it has been leaked that he will likely be a Duelist as well. Some players have stated that they would like to see NetEase Games focus on expanding the number of Vanguards and Strategists available in future seasons.
In a recent post on Twitter, NetEase Games gave players a first look at gameplay of the upcoming Phoenix Demon skin forMagik inMarvel Rivals, which will be available in the shop on July 31 at 7 PM PDT. The Phoenix Demon costume is modeled after Magik’s appearance in issue five of the comic bookAvengers Vs. X-Menfrom 2012. In the footage, Magik can be seen wearing a black leather jacket with spikes and a large Phoenix emblem on her chest. She can also be seen sporting black boots with thigh-high stockings while wielding her massive flaming sword.

Magik isn’t the only hero getting a new skin on July 31, asMarvel Rivals' Black Pantherwill also be receiving the Phoenix Panther costume. Recentgameplayshows the Duelist donning golden armor with a flaming crown. He also appears to have Phoenix flames on his chest and claws, which seem to flare up with the use of his new emote. As of writing, NetEase Games hasn’t revealed just how much either skin will cost.
Thepatch notes forMarvel Rivals' July 31 updatealso revealed that gamers will soon be able to claim a free skin for Star-Lord. The fresh costume is part of the Ignite series of cosmetics and can be earned through Twitch. Gamers who watch four hours of the Mid-Season Finals will be able to claim the new skin alongside fresh nameplates, sprays, and an emote. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future ofMarvel Rivals.
