Marvel and Sony took initiative and released a short video of Tom Holland in the suit asking, “Are we ready?” Judging from first reactions, fans are into it.

It Successfully Mixes The Old And The New
It is difficult for any Spider-Man suit to be revolutionary at this point in the character’s lengthy history.Peter Parker debuted way back in 1962and the character’s supersuit was pretty much perfected from the start. There have been both subtle tweaks and radical reinventions over the years, but Spidey’s classic red and blue suit is difficult to top. TheBrand New Daysuit is a more faithful adaptation of the classic suit that seemingly also pays homage to the Raimi suit of the 2000s. Early online reaction to the short clip has been very positive:
Given how poorly things have been going forSony’s film slate of Spidey-related flicks, they needSpider-Man: Brand New Dayto hit and hit big. The same goes for Marvel Studios after a rough few years at the box office,Deadpool & Wolverinenotwithstanding. They have a long way to go, but the fan reception to the new suit seems to indicate they’re heading in the right direction.
