Gear has multiple rarities inMetaphor: ReFantazio, with higher rarity items having bonus effects on top of higher stats. Many items that are higher than gray rarity also have a locked-away bonus effect that needs to beunlocked through purification.
Purification will require Blessed Water, Graced Water, and Heavenly Water, with stronger gear needing higher-tier waters to purify them. Each type of water is a rare item that players will need a lot of; here’s how to get each type.
How To Farm Blessed, Graced, & Heavenly Water In Metaphor: ReFantazio
Each type of water can be found on the ground in dungeons, though this is not a reliable method for getting large amounts of any type of water. Blessed, Graced, and Heavenly Water arecommondrops from Imitec enemies, the ones that disguise themselves as chests. The type of Imitec and the water it drops are set in stone:
Heavenly Water
Light
Each item has a high chance of dropping whenever you defeat the correlating Imitec, both in squad battle or in real-time combat. While there is a chance of these dropping by defeating the enemy, you can alsosteal the itemwith the Thief Archetypeto greatly increase your odds of getting the item. Once an item is stolen, that enemy won’t have another item to steal or drop on death.

For those who want a sure method to easily get a few of each water type, there is one village that sells all three. The city ofMalva, just south of Altaburysells ten of each type of water. While this is limited, it’s a much faster method than trying to farm Imitecs. Malva also sells powerful healing items along with the Hot Spring Report: Lifelong Pals Bath Salt, which is a useful item to buy while here.
To make the most of free time, it’s best to try andget a lot of Reeve fastto buy ten of each type of water so you don’t need to come back later. There are also only so many gear pieces in the game that can be purified, so it’s best to buy ten of each water type and then worry about farming more later on since that method will take more time.
