However, this success proved to be short-lived, as the game experienced a sharp decline in player interest over the following months. The game is now set torelaunch with a refreshed identity under the titleNew World: Aeternum, which aims to rejuvenate its player base. The relaunch is scheduled for October 15, but an open beta will be available from September 13 at 9 AM to September 16 at 9 AM. During this period, players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in North America, South America, Europe, and APAC regions will have the chance to experience the game early. Preloading for the open beta begins on September 11 at 9 AM PT, and no special prerequisites are required to participate. Additionally, players are encouraged to provide feedback on various aspects of the game to assist developers in refining the experience.

Following theNew World: Aeternumclosed beta in July, the developers described the upcoming open beta as an experience filled with “lost treasures, dark secrets, and supernatural wonders.” Players who explore the Eternal Isle and achieve specific milestones will earn exclusive rewards for the official release ofNew World: Aeternum. These rewards include the Aeternian Adventurer skin, with items such as titles, gloves, footwear, legwear, headwear, and chestwear awarded for reaching certain levels. It is important to note that rewards will be tied to the platform on which they are earned, meaning rewards gained on PC will only be available on PC.
Additionally, during theNew World: Aeternumopen beta, player progression will be limited to level 30. The beta phase will provide insight into player reception and the game’s performance, but forNew World: Aeternumto succeed upon its official launch, it will need to deliver significant new content and enhancements.
