Not only that, but said Direct may be focused on games for the Switch 1, as opposed to titles that are in the works for the Switch 2, which still has yet to be revealed. PH Brazil believes that the February 2025 Direct may even be a Partner Showcase as opposed to a more traditional Direct. Of course, fans should take this information with a grain of salt and wait for official word from Nintendo.
A Nintendo Direct Could Be Happening in February
It’s easy to believe thata Nintendo Directwill air in February. Nintendo has hosted Nintendo Direct events in February many times over the years, though that doesn’t rule out such an event taking place in November, December, or January. Nintendo Directs have popped up in those months as well, though Nintendo clearly favors February when it comes to Direct events.
Early 2025 should be a massive time for Nintendo fans. Nintendo has confirmed that the Switch 2 will be revealed before April of next year, meaning that a showcase for the new hardware is merely months away. Not only that, but Nintendo traditionally hosts Pokemon Presents events in February, andwithPokemon Legends: Z-Aon the way, chances are that the same will hold true for next year as well.
If Nintendo decides to host a Direct in February, there are multiple 2025 games it could show off.Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Editionis coming to the Switchon March 20, while the aforementionedPokemon Legends: Z-AandMetroid Prime 4are on the horizon as well. For now, fans should keep their expectations in check, but chances seem good that history will repeat itself and there will be a Nintendo Direct, or some big Nintendo announcements, come February.
