In celebration of this year’s N7 Day, players once again have the opportunity toearn the Normandy frigate inNo Man’s Skythanks to the expedition being re-run for a limited time only. Ina post detailing the latestNo Man’s Skyupdate, developer and Hello Games founder Sean Murray refers to the expedition as “a love-letter from one science-fiction game to another,” with the expedition available to all players for the next two weeks. This isn’t the only surprise revealed forNo Man’s Skytoday, as this unnamed update also marks the release of a visually-enhanced version of the game for the PlayStation 5 Pro, as well as a cross-save function which allows fans to play their save games across every platform that supports the game.

Thiscross-save functionality in particular is a crucial step forward forNo Man’s Sky, and one that players have been hoping to see for many years. AsNo Man’s Skyhas soared to greater and greater heights following its launch in 2016 over the course of dozens of free content updates, the game has achieved a considerable and thriving playerbase as a result of it coming to new platforms such as the Nintendo Switch, Mac and PSVR 2 - the latter of which benefiting from the enhancements made with the new Playstation 5 Pro version.
