Hello Games has announced thatNo Man’s Skywill feature an 8K mode on the PlayStation 5 Pro. Additionally, those eager to experience the enhanced version of the space exploration title can look forward to a new cross-save feature forNo Man’s Sky.

Now officially available for purchase, the PlayStation 5 Pro features an extra terabyte of storage over the base PlayStation 5, as well as an upgraded GPU, advanced ray tracing, and AI upscaling via Sony’s PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution). Dozens of recent hit titles have been added to theever-growing list of PlayStation 5 Enhanced titles, with the system also supporting PS5 Pro Game Boost, promising to stabilize and improve the performance of over 8,500 beloved PS4 titles. A small number of titles will boast some extra enhancements, with a popular sci-fi action-adventure game recently showing off some new capabilities on the platform.

According to Hello Games,No Man’s Skywill support an 8K mode on the PlayStation 5 Pro, with players able to enjoy the title at 7680 x 4320 resolution at 30 FPS. The game will also include a 4K mode running at 60 FPS, with both modes featuring graphical enhancements thanks to the new system’s superior hardware. This makesNo Man’s Skyone of only three games to support 8K at launch, along withF1 24andGran Turismo 7, both of which support the mode at 60 FPS. Graphical improvements will also carry over to the PlayStation VR2 version of the game. Previously,Hello Games applauded the PS5 Pro’s capabilities, with developer Martin Griffiths stating that the console “absolutely rocks.”

No Man’s Sky Will Support 8K Mode and Universal Cross-Save on PS5 Pro

Along with improved visuals, players can now utilize a universalcross-save feature added in the latest update forNo Man’s Sky. Players can upload their save data to a server, which can then be downloaded and used on another platform. While the feature will only be available to a small number of players at the start, it will roll out to allNo Man’s Skyfans in the coming weeks. Up to five saves can be stored at any given time, and the feature will be available on all platforms that support the game.
