Guardians of the Galaxystar Zoe Saldaña has recently opened up and reflected on her time in theMarvel Cinematic Universeas Gamora, revealing that she thinks she could’ve done more with her character’s storyline. Zoe Saldaña Talks About Her Role as Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy

In an open and frank conversation withVariety, Zoe Saldaña explained why she wishes she could redo theAvengersmovies, as well as her role as Gamora inThe Guardians of the Galaxytrilogy. Saldaña expressed that, despite her iconic portrayal of the character, she would like to go back and do a better job at Gamora, stating that she feels like she could have done more with her story. She also mentioned her character, Nyota Uhura inStar Trek, feeling like that was another role she could have improved. Thankfully,Saldaña revealed that she’s already signed on forStar Trek 4and has high hopes for the character to take on more responsibility than before.

“I wish I could go back and do a better job for Gamora [in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘Avengers‘ movies] and Uhura [in ‘Star Trek’]. But I guess I just …I think I did enough, but I could have done more. That’s just how I am.”

Other than her incredible performances in super-hero movies, Saldaña’s previous movies have included the likes ofAvatar, Losers,Colombiana, and as the iconic American singer, Nina Simone, in the filmNina. As forThe Guardians of the Galaxy, a recent rumor has suggested thattwo faces might be returning to the MCU. If true, Glenn Close and John C. Reilly could have significant roles in the series, potentially through flashbacks or as survivors, but as yet, only time will tell.

For Marvel fans who can’t wait for the nextAvengersmovie, there’s some good news on the horizon.Avengers 5,which was retitled asAvengers: Doomsday,has beenconfirmed by the Russo brothersand will begin filming in Spring 2025. Alongside Robert Downey Jr., the cast will comprise Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
