Summary

Luffy’s journey throughout the Grand Line with his pirate crew is filled with many wondrous islands and adventures. Each adventure hasits fair share of antagonistswho stand in the way of Luffy and his crew. As his navigator, it is only right that Nami has also made a few enemies along the way; despite not being a major combatant, she has still managed to piss some people off while sailing the treacherous seas in Luffy’s name.

Even the Yonko Big Mom would gun for her head if she ever had the opportunity to do so. With that in mind, here are some One Piece characters who hate Nami the most.

Kalifa from One Piece smiling

5Kalifa

Lost To Nami Despite Being An Overwhelming Favorite

Although Kalifa does not necessarily hate Nami as a person, she has a score to settle with her, especially after the humiliating defeat she suffered at her hands during the Enies Lobby Arc, despite being considered physically superior. She is a member of the highly revered CP0, a messenger of the world government, possessing an effective devil fruit and skills that raise her above a lot of the characters in the series.

Despite all this, she fell victim to Nami’s intelligenceand quick thinking, which were much needed if the Straw Hat Pirates were to succeed in their mission and save Nico Robin.

Nami Stood Her Ground And Annoyed Her To The Max

Wano Country Arc introduced fans to a number of new characters, including Ulti, one of the six strongest members of Kaido’s crew. She harbors a deep resentment for Nami, mainly because of a misunderstanding involving her brother and the fact that Nami refused to denounce Luffy’s dreams. Through an earlier encounter with Luffy, Ulti learned about his dreams ofbecoming the Pirate Kingand considered it insulting to her captain Kaido.

Ulti then compelled Nami to denounce her faith in her captain or suffer dire consequences. Faced with the possible threat of death at the hands of a formidable opponent, Nami refused to state that Luffy would never become the Pirate King, which goes against the sense of self-preservation that she is well known for.

Kuroobi

Despises All Humans Especially Nami

Kuroobi is a member ofthe Arlong Pirates that invadedand took over the Conomi Islands and its villages. He is the most similar member of the crew to Arlong in terms of ideals and hate for humans. Since the birth of Nami and Arlong’s alliance, Kuroobi has had issues trusting her, although some part of that might be attributed to the hate he harbors towards humans.

Despite his captain’s obvious fondness for Nami, he dislikes her and even once scoured her room for anything he could use as evidence of her intent to betray him, but Nami was always going to keep her part of the deal. Even during his clash with Sanji at Arlong Park, he acknowledged his strength but still mockedSanji for putting his life onthe line for a measly girl who he barely knew.

Put Nami Through The Toughest Times Of Her Life

Although Arlong likes Nami more than the average human (he completely despises humans), the things he puts her through do not reflect that sentiment. Nami lost too much to Arlong and his crew, from her village to the only maternal figure she ever knew. She was forced to negotiate a ransom for the release of her village, which involved joining his crew and serving him, even if it meant earning a bad name amongst those who she held dear.

He set the ransom at a hundred million berries, an unrealistic target for an eight-year-old who depended on her adoptive mother, Bell-mere, to feed. Nonetheless, she took up this task and became a master thief over the span of eight years to raise the money. Arlong then proceeded to set her up to lose all the moneyto the Marines under his thumband laughed in her face when she confronted him about it. Even though he did what he did because he did not want to lose her and her incredible talent, it can be inferred that if he did like her, he would not put her through all that just to move her back to square one.

Big Mom

1Big Mom

Lost Part Of Her Soul To Nami

Big Mom’s dislike for Nami is quite glaring for all to see and it is quite justified. In addition to all the ruckus the Straw Hat Crew created on Whole Cake Island, which ruined her child’s wedding, Nami also made away witha part of Big Mom’s soul. Zeus, the second strongest homie, made from a fragment of Big Mom herself, was lured by Nami into her Clima-Tact through his taste for thunderclouds and trained into submission.

Nami’s hold over Zeus is so strong that he can disobey direct orders from Big Mom despite being one of her homies. As a result, Big Mom grew to hate Nami more than most Straw Hat Pirates, with their captain, Luffy, being the only one she despises more. She also grew to hate Zeus as well and tried to remove her soul fragment from him and destroy him in the process, but once more Nami intervened andsaved her new-found allyby permanently fusing him with her Clima-Tact as a vessel.
