The Most Iconic One Piece Moments

Despite Shattering Records, The Debut Of Gear 5th Ends Up On The Tenth Spot

According to the result, the tenth most iconic scene inOne Pieceis whenLuffy awakened Gear 5th. Considering the fact that the debut of Gear 5th crashed several servers and generated so much hype, it is surprising to see it finish tenth. Gear 5th was not just the culmination of Luffy’s hard work over the years, but it was the beginning of something big. After awakening Gear 5th, Luffy was able to beat Kaido and free Wano from his tyranny. A key reason why it ranked low is because of its goofy nature, which is not everyone’s cup of tea.

In the ninth spot is the iconic scene where Ace tells Yamatoabout Luffy’s ambition.Yamato, who knew what Roger wanted, was baffled to find the similarity between the two. She was stunned to speak, and the anime captured the sentiment perfectly. One Piecefans voted Vivi’s farewell as the eighth most iconic moment in the series. There are several reasons why it is so special and highly regarded by the viewers. First, it was emotional seeing Vivi staying back in Albasta after all the time she had spent with the Straw Hats. Second, it showed Vivi’s development as a character, who chose to sacrifice her dream to help her father. Finally, the Straw Hats made a beautiful gesture of marking their wrists to show Vivi that she would forever be their friend.

Bidding Farewell To Loved Ones

Finishing just above Vivi’s farewell is Nico Robin’s iconic line about wanting to live. Initially, Robin had decided to go with CP-9 to avoid the Straw Hats being dragged into her mess. But she changed her mind when Luffy and the rest of the crew turned up at Enies Lobby. Luffy asked her what she wanted, to which she replied, “I want to live.” This is all the Straw Hat Pirates wanted to hear. Subsequently, theydeclared war against CP-9and took back their beloved Nakama. In sixth place is the emotional farewell between Portgas D. Ace and Luffy. The latter tried his best to ensure that Ace would safely leave Marineford, but destiny had other plans.

Thank you…for loving me!! –Portgas D. Ace

He was punched through the torso by Akainu, leaving him mortally wounded. Ace knew that his time was almost up, so he made sure to tell his little brother how much he loved him. Needless to say, both Luffy and the viewers were devastated to see Ace die.

The Best Five Moments In The One Piece Anime

The Burning Of Going Merry Reigns Supreme

One look at the bottom five entries shows that fans are moved by the emotional moments inOne Piece. The trend continues into the top five as the fifth spot is takenby Zoro’s Nothing Happened. It is such a special moment for the character and the story. For Zoro, it shows his determination and fearlessness. In terms of storytelling, it shows how loyal the Straw Hats are to their captain.

Next is Sanji and Luffy’s interaction on Whole Cake Island. After Sanji decided to leave the crew, Luffy followed him to Whole Cake Island in hopes of persuading his cook to change his mind. However, Sanji didn’t want to risk the safety of his crew and that of Zeff. So he beat Luffy black and blue. But it didn’t deter Luffy from trying to stop him. As Sanji was going away in a carriage, Luffy reminded his cook that he would not becomethe King of the Pirates without him.

In the third place is the interaction between Luffy and Nami in Cocoyashi Village. Nami ran away from the Baratie without telling anyone why. Ultimately, Luffy and the rest of the crew learned the reason behind her behavior. When the stress became too much, Nami broke down and stabbed the Arlong Pirates' tattoo on her arm. Thankfully, Luffy stopped her before she could do any serious damage to her arm. He consoled her and put the Straw Hat on her head. This showed how much Luffy cared about his crew members, as he was willing to part ways with his Straw Hat.

The first and second spots go to the burning of the Going Merry and Corazon’s final smile, respectively. The final moments of Going Merry were emotional as it rescued the Straw Hats from the Buster Call in Enies Lobby. Corazon’s smile tugged at the heartstrings of the fans, mainly because he forced himself to do so despite knowing that his death was imminent. Overall, all ten entries are incredible, and they will forever be remembered by the fans.
