One Piecefans know very wellthat Rocks D. Xebecis, quite easily, the most exciting part of the story right now. Oda introduced him years ago, but finally, he’s decided to dive deep into his character, revealing some of the most exciting bits and pieces about him to all readers.
Rocks first appeared fully inOne PieceChapter 1154, and Chapter 1155 only went on to expand upon the character of Rocks even further. Slowly, the story is building up towards the inevitable, which fans know very well already, and that is the God Valley Incident. This God Valley Incident was first mentioned in One Piece chapter 957, and it will, inevitably, go on to be revealed fully in the Loki flashback, it seems. Fans will finally see what happened to Rocks D. Xebec, although Oda might actually have already revealed the answer long ago.
Rocks D. Xebec Met Imu In Marijoa 56 Years Ago
To figure outthe true fate of Rocks D. Xebec, fans first need to look at One Piece chapter 1155, which showed Rocks meeting up with Imu, first of all. When Rocks entered the Room of Flowers, Imu and Gunko could clearly be seen there. However, Imu’s trusted blade wasn’t shown to the fans.

Later on, Rocks conversed with Imu, attempting to use the five kidnapped Kings as hostages to extort Imu. Of course, this didn’t work on the King of the World, so Rocks pulled back, telling them that they would eventually return, right there in the very Room of Flowers. Rocks fled and killed a Navy Admiral on his way out, which was shocking in itself.
Rocks Fell On God Valley 18 Years Later
Rocks D. Xebec Was Reportedly Taken Down By The Roger And Garp
18 years after Rocks’s meeting with Imu, the God Valley Incident happened. Fans know very well that Rocks D. Xebec fell here, and to beat him, Roger and Garp had to team up. At least, this is the version of the story that Sengoku knew and told the younger Marines. The World Government itself claimed full credit for beating Rocks, and this is what made Garp the Hero of the Marines.

Yet, the truth could be even deeper than this. In the Kuma flashback, fans saw Saturn use the Abyssto spawn in God Valley. The other Holy Knights were also present there. It is also very likely that Imu could’ve shown up on God Valley as well, and that’s probably how Gaban recognizes Imu’s Haki.
Imu Has Rocks’s Sword In The Room Of Flowers
The biggest clue lies in the saber in Imu’s room. Fans know very well that Imu had a saber in their room that they used to stab bounty posters, specifically of Blackbeard. This sword looks very similar to the one that Rocks wielded. In other words, this could be a trophy that Imu collectedafter killing Rocks on God Valley, and in reality, neither Roger nor Garp could’ve taken him down.
When I was a kid, I thought to myself: man I would love to draw a manga with the most hyped final stage! I wonder if I’m up to it! Now, we have only a tiny bit of Wano arc left, the preparations are almost done. Took me 25 years lol. That said, it’s fine if you start reading from this point on. Because from this point on…it’ll be… The ONE PIECE!! The mysteries of this world, I’ll be drawing all of them! It’ll be super interesting! Fasten your seatbelt! And please stay with me for a bit longer! — Eiichiro Oda, Author of One Piece, 2022
