One Pieceis currently in the Elbaf arc, and fans have been loving the recent developments, largely due to the Loki flashback that is currently going on. As fans know already, Loki’s flashback has given the fans a good look atthe legendary Rocks D. Xebec, and it will, undoubtedly, give fans more to look forward to later on as well.
But, most importantly, through Rocks, Oda has revealed a power that fans have always wanted to know more about, and that is Haki. Rocks’s Fighting Style showed what appears to be a new type of Haki to the fans, and it is so rare that only 3 characters in the whole world ofOne Piecehave been shown using it.
Rocks Could Use Conqueror’s Haki In A Special Way
One Piece Chapter 1155 Shows Rocks’s Fighting Style
One Piecechapter 1155 showed the fans many feats from the legendary Rocks D. Xebec. He invaded the Holy Land of Marijoa, and he also went on to kill an Admiral of the Navy. He then clashed against Harald, and eventually, in the main timeline of the Loki flashback, fans saw him attack Loki as well. In all this, the last feat might look the least important, but it is actually absolutely massive, since it went on to confirm how Rocks truly fights.
Rocks’s sword attacks were akin to a hammer or a cannon strike. He was famous for blasting away everything in his path. — Narrator
Rocks’s sword attacks are such that they don’t even cut. His attacks destroy everything in their path, indiscriminately. What’s more, they hit like a hammer and do blunt damage, like a hammer. This is very different from what swordsmen in the world ofOne Pieceactually do. Yet, Rocks was very special. Exactly how he did this isn’t known. What fans do know is that this could be a special application of Haki.
Rocks Has Special Conqueror’s Haki SFX
A major indicatorthat Rocks’s attacks hit the way they didbecause of a higher level of Conqueror’s Haki is the fact that the rumbling sound they make is actually even more intense than usual Conqueror’s Haki infusion users, almost as if it shows that his Haki is on a higher level.
Regardless, as fans know, every time he swings his sword, it feels like a hammer hit. It doesn’t leave a cut. It feels like a blow from a hammer that does damage on the inside and crushes from within. It doesn’t even fall into any traditional swordsmanship style, especially since it is indiscriminate.
Roger and Shanks Can Use Rocks’s Style
Shanks Learned It By Observing Roger
Along with Rocks, two more characters have used this fighting style inOne Piece, and they are Roger and Shanks. Roger observed Rocks and learned this style for himself. He most likely couldn’tuse it during the God Valley Incident. But, when he fought Oden and Whitebeard, he had already mastered it.
Later on, Shanks learned this power as well. He gained it by simply observing Roger. What’s shocking is that he mastered it before the age of 15. Oda specifically statedthat no Roger Pirate could copy Divine Departuredespite trying, but Shanks was the only one.
