Summary

Ever since theOne Pieceanime began to adapt the Wano Country arc, there has been a significant increase in the quality of animation. The anime has become more than just watchable, and in fact, fans eagerly await the episode’s release.

The main reason for the change is Toei Animation’s decision to take things up a notch. The studio has put its most talented animators on the project, so it’s hardly surprising that it has become so much better. Among the several new names involved in the project, Vincent Chansard stands out the most. The talented Frenchman has set new standards when it comes to animating the best moments inOne Piece. However, the animator decided to take a break from the anime.

Admiral Kizaru

Why Vincent Chansard Is Taking A Break

The Animator’s Storyboards Were Being Cut Constantly

The decision to take a hiatus stems from thefact that Toei Animation heavily modifiedhis storyboard to the point where there were just bits and pieces left. The talented animator had previously taken to X (formerly Twitter) to express his frustration with the decisions made by the higher-ups. He also specified the director had tried their best to keep Chansard’s scenes in the episode.

Vincent Chansard’s break doesn’t give Toei a good look. He is one of their most promising animators, and if the studio is not supportive of his work, it could cause more problems in the long run. According to rumors, Vincent Chansard’s break will only affect One Piece as the animator will work on other shows. He will likely make his return when Luffy and Kizaru go head-to-head.

Kuzan using the Hie Hie no Mi

The fight between the two is certainly an important moment in the story. The two characters faced each other in the Sabaody Archipelago arc, where the Admiral nearly annihilated all the Straw Hat Pirates. But their next fight will be different. Given the history between the two, it is necessary that Toei Animation does its best to capture this moment. Vincent Chansard’s return to the fray will be helpful to the studio, helping it meet the expectations that it has set. Fans will behoping that Toei Animation learnsfrom its mistakes and gives Vincent Chansard the creative freedom that he deserves. Otherwise, it could mean a permanent break for him. Toei Animation wouldn’t want to do something like that, especially after Henry Thurlow also left the One Piece anime to work on other projects. However, it is worth noting that Henry Thurlow’s decision to do so was not one out of frustration. He also made it clear that he will return to the anime in the future, most likely in the latter stages of the Final Saga of One Piece.

Vincent Chansard’s Return To One Piece

The Animator Will Hopefully Return Soon

As previously stated, Vincent Chansard will come back when the anime reaches the Luffy vs. Kizaru fight. If he is immediately involved in the work, then fans can expect the fight to be absolutely incredible. Vincent Chandra’s impact frames have bedazzled the viewers, and they look forward to seeing them. Additionally, Chansard dropped small messages within his animation, and the audience would have fun trying to find them. Having such an innovative animator return for the second half of the Egghead Island arc would be incredible.

What’s Next For The Anime?

There Is A Lot Of Interesting Stuff Coming Up

Aside from Chansard’s return, there is plenty of stuff coming up in the arc. Fans will get to see the conclusion of thefight between Monkey D. Garp and Kuzan. The two have been at it hammer and tongs. Currently, the momentum is with Garp, but it could change in a second. The winner of this fight will dictate what happens to Koby and to the other people captured by the Blackbeard Pirates. So far, the fight has been exquisitely animated, and fans will hope that remains the case till the end.

The Egghead arc has a section dedicated to the events that occurred in Marijoa during the Reverie. Fans who have read the manga are aware that the focus of the story will temporarily shift toSabo and the Revolutionary Army. Sabo was accused of murdering Nefertari Cobra, but he never had the chance to fully explain what transpired in the Holy Land. Since Oda teased this news a while back, it makes sense to finally wrap up this plotline.

Without strength, you won’t be able to save anyone. —Kizaru

Finally, the story willrevert to Egghead Island, where the Navy and the Straw Hat Pirates will engage in a bitter duel. The Navy is led by Admiral Kizaru, but there is an even more impressive character onboard. The person is none other than Saint. Jaygarcia Saturn, one of the Five Elders. He is accompanying Kizaru to Egghead Island to ensure that Vegapunk’s assassination is carried out without fail. The strength of the Five Elders has always been a talking point within the community, but it won’t be long before fans learn if the five honchos are actually powerful or just regular bureaucrats.
