Summary
The Blackbeard Pirates are one of the four strongest pirate crews in One Piece. Led by Blackbeard, the crew has rapidly climbed to the top of the pirating ranks. After the Summit War, the Blackbeard Pirates began hunting strong Devil Fruit users and stealing their powers.
Upon getting their hands on a Devil Fruit, one of the crew members will eat it. Presently, Oda has revealed the Devil Fruit powers of almost every singlemember of the Blackbeard Pirates, save for a few exceptions. This makes it possible to rank the strongest Devil Fruit users within the crew.
The ranking is based on how well the characters use their Devil Fruits.
7Catarina Devon
Devil Fruit: Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Kyubi no Kitsune
Catarina Devon is known as the strongest female prisoner to be imprisoned inside Impel Down. She did not have a Devil Fruit prior to the time-skip, so she likely stole it from another person. Catarina Devon possessesthe rare Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Kyubi no Kitsune.
The Devil Fruit is modeled after the lore surrounding the nine-tailed fox, which is said to have the ability to turn into anyone. Naturally, Catarina Devon also has the power to turn into anyone whom she has touched. She used the Devil Fruit to turn into Absalom to trick Gecko Moria.
6Van Augur
Devil Fruit: Wapu Wapu no Mi
Van Augur is the sniper of the Blackbeard Pirates. He has incredible aim, as evidenced by his ability to shoot down birds from hundreds of meters. Van Augur possesses the Wapu Wapu no Mi, which allows him to instantly warp to a place. This is a handy ability, as it enables him to catch his adversaries by surprise.
Van Augur’s ability has proven helpful many times already. 5Shiryu
Devil Fruit: Suke Suke no Mi
Before joining the Blackbeard Pirates, Shiryu used to be the head jailer of Impel Down. But Magellan locked him up for committing atrocities against the prisoners. It wasn’t until the riot happened that Shiryu was freed. He took this opportunity to sidewith the Blackbeard Piratesand helped them achieve their goal.
Shiryu possesses the Suke Suke no Mi, allowing him to turn invisible whenever he wants. The Devil Fruit makes it hard to detect Shiryu and protect against his attacks. So far, Shiryu hasn’t shown any problems while handling the Devil Fruit.
4Avalo Pizarro
Devil Fruit: Shima Shima no Mi
Avalo Pizarro was imprisoned on Level 6 inside Impel Down. Realistically, he didn’t have a chance to escape, but things changed when Blackbeard invaded the facility with his crew. After beating the other Level 6 prisoners, Avalo Pizarro joined the crew.
At the time, he did not have a Devil Fruit. So, he found one when the crew was hunting Devil Fruit users. Avalo Pizarro ended with the Shima Shima no Mi, which allowed him to take control of the island. When Garp and the other Marines attacked Hachinosu, Avalo Pizarro proved to be a major thorn in their side. With time, his hold over the Shima Shima no Mi will only improve.
3Jesus Burgess
Devil Fruit: Riki Riki no Mi
Jesus Burgess is the captain of the first ship of the Blackbeard Pirates. He is one of the few people who joined Blackbeard before the Impel Down raid. Like many members of the crew, Burgess did not have a Devil Fruit. He tried to get his hands on the Mera Mera no Mi but failed.
Eventually,Burgess ended up with the Riki Riki no Mi, which increased his physical strength tremendously. Burgess became capable of lifting mountains with his hands and throwing them at his opponents. From the looks of it, Burgess has a good hold over his Devil Fruit.
2Kuzan
Devil Fruit: Hie Hie no Mi
Kuzan is a former Admiral, who joined the Blackbeard Pirates after his defeat to Sakazuki. During his time with the Navy, Kuzan gained a lot of fame. He also played a crucial role in the Summit War by protecting the island from ginormous tsunamis created by Whitebeard.
Kuzan is an extremely impressive fighter, and he knows how to take full advantage of his Devil Fruit. This was evident when he fought Garp in Hachinosu. He distracted Garp with one attack and followed it by freezing him. Moreover, his fight against Sakazuki changed the climate of one-half of Punk Hazard.
1Blackbeard
Devil Fruits: Gura Gura no Mi, Yami Yami no Mi
Marshall D. Teach is the captainand the strongest Devil Fruit user within the Blackbeard Pirates. Originally, he just had the Yami Yami no Mi, and he managed to use it rather well. With its power, Blackbeard managed to take down Portgas D. Ace, a pirate with a bounty of over 500 million berries. He destroyed an entire town on Banaro Island, which shows his skill with the Devil Fruit.
Blackbeard’s second Devil Fruit is the Gura Gura no Mi, which is said to have the power to destroy the world. He gained the ability in Marineford, and at the time, he looked visibly untrained. Since the time-skip, Blackbeard has indubitably improved his control over the Devil Fruit, making him an even bigger threat than before.
