After EA kicked off August with anewUFC 5update, the studio confirmed that fans can expect plenty of new alter egos and fighters to be released throughout August and September. Lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett was one of the first fighters to receive a new alter ego in August, alongside MMA legends such as Forrest Griffin, Diego Sanchez, and Rashad Evans. A UFC 304 variant of former welterweight champion Leon Edwards was also released, featuring the fighter’s custom shorts emblazoned with the Jamaican and Union Jack flags.
Despite already releasing five new alter egos on August 14, EA has dropped a fresh batch for players to get their hands on, including a variant of one ofUFC 5’s best kickboxers, Alex Pereira. While Pereira was already considered the meta fighter in the light heavyweight division, fans have even more reason to use him, as his new alter ego once again has a 5-star rating with some increased stats. Alongside the release of a new Pereira alter ego, EA also surprised fans with a variant of Matt Brown from his days on The Ultimate Fighter, featuring increased health, striking, and grappling stats, while also having a 4.5-star rating.
Alex Pereira UFC 303 Alter Ego Stats
Since his knockout of Sean Strickland at UFC 277, Pereira has seen a huge surge in popularity. But nobody anticipated the now light heavyweight champion to be one of thehighest-rated fighters inUFC 5. With the release of his UFC 303 alter ego, Pereira now has three different alter egos to choose from in-game. For players wanting to unlock Pereira’s newest variant, they must reach level 12 on the current punch card, which is available until September 10. The alter ego is then expected to be available to purchase via the in-game store for those who didn’t manage to unlock it.
Although August 20 only saw the addition of two new alter egos, EA will continue torelease newUFC 5fightersin the coming weeks. As confirmed previously, Tatsuro Taira, Manuel Torres, Tabatha Ricci, and Daniel Zellhuber will all be added to the game sometime in September. The release date for the patch is still to be confirmed, but it’s expected to drop before UFC 306 on September 14.
