This addition will be a part ofEpisode Aigis - The Answer, which is set for a September 10 release date. In the trailer, Joker is shown swinging into a scene with his grappling hook, a prominent feature fromPersona 5 Royal. He doesn’t speak much, but is heard saying “ravage them,” a line from thePersona 5games that plays if Joker lands a weak point hit or a killing blow using his persona.
In the trailer, Joker is teased with Arsene and Satanel, two demons that are strongly linked to his character and story beats. This might be a decent way to introduce players who are more familiar withPersona 3toPersona 5, generating curiosity the same way thatPersona 5’s challenge battlesserve as fun Easter eggs for fans. Additionally, the trailer generates intrigue with Junpei, who can be heard asking “why is it after us?” offering what could be a bit of a side story linked to Joker’s appearance.
While excited, some fans are a bit disappointed that Joker gets to be added to the game and that thefemale protagonist fromPersona 3 Portablewill not be showing upin any capacity.
