Persona 5 The Phantom Xrecently released the next chapter of “Crossroads of Fate”, an ongoing series of events that have the cast of Phantom X teaming up with the cast of Persona 5 to take on strange recreations of Persona 5’s Palaces. Unlike the regular Palaces in Persona 5 The Phantom X, these event Palaces are instead broken up into smaller explorable missions, each with a number of optional objectives and collectibles to reward thorough exploration. For the Kamoshida Arc’s section of Crossroads of Fate, this made up the vast majority of the event, with the addition of cafe LeBlanc and Thieves' Alliance as additional side activities.

InPersona 5 The Phantom X’s “Crossroads of Fate: Museum Arc and Bank Arc”, the main missions associated with the event Palaces are supplemented by two side activities. One of these is a boss challenge called “Sinners of Vanity and Gluttony”, which allows players to fight the bosses associated with these two arcs at multiple different difficulty levels to earn rewards. The focus of this guide, however, is the other side activity/sub-event, which is called “Relativity’s Labyrinth.”

Persona 5 The Phantom X_Relativity’s Labyrinth 1

Relativity’s Labyrinth is a multi-stage exploration puzzle challenge set in what appears to be a section of Madarame’s Museum Palace, where players are tasked with collecting coins and navigating to an exit. Complicating this, each level is filled with moving sections controlled by switches, forcing you to modify the layout of the level as you traverse it if you want to succeed. Further increasing the difficulty for players that want to 100% clear the event, the challenge counts every time you activate a switch and each stage must be cleared within a certain number of switch triggers to earn the full reward.

This guide will explain how to clear each section of Relativity’s Labyrinth, though to actually access them all you’ll need to complete section 2-7 of the event’s main missions.

How to Clear Relativity’s Labyrinth Stage 1 in Persona 5 The Phantom X

Relativity’s Labyrinth is a puzzle-exploration challenge where players must navigate a space strongly inspired by Madarame’s Palace, with switches that modify parts of the level scattered throughout. Using these switches properly is crucial to success, but to earn all the rewards for each stage you’ll need to clear them while activating as few switches as possible.

This first labyrinth stage is pretty easy and relatively forgiving, so even if you make a couple of mistakes you’ll still be able to 100% clear it. (In the footage above I actually do rotate the wrong arch a few times, and still earn all the rewards.) In the first image above, you’ll see the first switch you need to hit, which will slide some terrain into place and allow you to cross the gap and collect your first coin (you’ll need 6 to fully clear this stage). From here, you’ll want to head down the stairs and follow the path along.

This will lead you to a pair of switches that will flip the path you just came from, turning it into a staircase that leads to your second coin. When you get to the spot shown in the second image above, take a quick detour to investigate the glowing purple portal, which leads to a room with an enemy encounter. It’s a lone Nue, which shouldn’t be too hard to handle, and after defeating it you can claim the coin it was guarding and then head back the way you came.

Heading down the other path, there’s a dead end with a switch. Stepping on this switch will lower a staircase, and heading over toward the far side of the dead end will reveal you may grapple up to the area next to the newly positioned staircase. Head down the staircase to find another coin, then drop down into a new section. From here, start by going to the left and dropping down to grab a coin, then drop down another step and head to the right to reach one last trio of switches.

Each of these three switches rotates a corresponding archway down below, and you’ll need to rotate them so that all three face the same way, allowing you to walk through them when you head down there in a moment. To do this, head to the furthest switch first, grab the coin near it, and step on it once. With that done, head back to the first switch and step on that one once as well. With that done and the archways aligned, head back to the left to find a drop down point leading onto the path where the archways are.

From here, it’s a straight shot to the exit gate.

How to Clear Relativity’s Labyrinth Stage 2 in Persona 5 The Phantom X

Stage 2 of Relativity’s Labyrinth is a step up in complexity, though it’s still pretty straightforward. When you first enter, head to the left and down the stairs to reach the first switch. Use it to rotate the block nearby to create a path forward, cross over, and then head left to find your first coin. Heading back and going to the right now, there’s only one way to go from here. As you follow the path down some drops you’ll find your second coin, before arriving at a pair of switches. Step on the bottom one twice to lower the pillar and create a path forward.

When you reach the spot shown in image 1, above, make sure to head down the stairs on the right to collect a coin before you step on the switch. Stepping on the switch will raise the stairs, making this coin unreachable but also opening the way forward. Head back in the direction you came from until you reach a spot where you may climb onto the raised stairs, leading you to a new section of the labyrinth. Here, there’s a switch that will lower a pillar, allowing you to reach a coin.

Grab the coin, then step on the switch again to reset the pillar positions, since you’ll need them back where they were to create a path to a portal. Head down the drops next to the switch to make your way over to a purple portal, leading deeper into the Labyrinth. This next section has a pretty simple puzzle, a switch on a platform with a rotating platform on either side. Start by hopping on the left platform and jumping over to a small side section with a coin, then head back and hop from the left platform onto the switch, rotating the platforms and allowing you to jump to the right platform next.

Once you’re through that, there’s only a little more to go. Start by making your way over to the purple portal ahead, leading to a combat encounter and one more coin. (It’s another Nue, which shouldn’t be too tricky) With the enemy defeated and the coin claimed, you should head back through the portal and make your way to the switch further along the path, which will rearrange the level one last time to create a path to the exit.

How to Clear Relativity’s Labyrinth Stage 3 in Persona 5 The Phantom X

This next section of Relativity’s Labyrinth increases the challenge yet again, with some of the coins pretty well hidden. When you begin, you’ll want to head to your right first to reach a dead end with the first coin, then head back to the left. Hit the switch when you reach a blockage to turn the pillar and keep moving, and before long you’ll reach the first puzzle of this labyrinth. There are two buttons next to each other, and two pillars to rotate. You’ll want to step on the left button once, then go and collect the coin, before returning and stepping on the left button a second time to open the path forward.

Running through this section, you’ll reach a dead end with a switch. Step on it to rearrange the path you entered on into a path leading onward, and head down that path until you reach the spot shown in image 2. You can drop down here to enter a lower path that leads back around to a grappling hook point, which will allow you to reach another coin. Use the portal near the coin to reappear at the end of the path and continue onward.

This next bit is another fairly simple switch puzzle. Follow the route shown in the first image to navigate it while collecting the coin. The portal on the far side leads to a room with an enemy encounter, which is another lone Nue. Beat it, collect the last coin, and head out the portal on the far side of the room. This will lead you to the last section of this stage, where it’s a short jog to reach the exit.

How to Clear Relativity’s Labyrinth Stage 4 in Persona 5 The Phantom X

Despite being the hardest stage of Relativity’s Labyrinth, stage 4 starts simple.Heading left from the entry and hitting every switch you find along the way will allow you to reposition a purple portal so that it leads to a new section, rather than just sending you in a circle.

After entering the section shown above, ensure to grab the coin next to the entrance before heading down. When you reach the spot shown in image 2, step on the upper switch to create a path to the third switch that is floating nearby. Head over to that one and step on it, then go back to the first switch and press it twice more. This will create a path allowing you to climb up and grab the coin.

Proceeding further into the area, you’ll land on a switch that causes a path to appear on your right. Take this path first and head through the portal at the end to reach the upper level of the previous section. Jump over to the switch to create a path to one more coin, then double back through the portal and head back to the switch that made the path to the portal appear. take the other path here to reach a portal that leads further into the labyrinth.

Make sure to grab the coin in the big empty room past the portal, then head through the other portal to continue onward. This leads to the biggest and toughest of the Labyrinth puzzles. Head through the portal marked in the first image, then head up the staircase next to a portal in the area you fall to, getting a coin. Head back down to the portal and step on the switch next to it twice, adjusting the position of the staircase, then head through the portal. This will bring you back to the previous area, where you’re able to head through the portal shown in image 2 to land near where you moved the stairs.

Head up them to collect one last coin, then step on the switch next to the portal to move the stairs one more time. Head back up, step on the switch between the two portals, then use the portal shown in image 3 to reach the stairs again and follow them to a new portal. This new portal will take you right to the exit.
