Last year’sWWE 2K24began to get the wrestling franchise headed in the right direction after it had been on the ropes for some time. That momentum continued on, and then some, whenWWE 2K25walked down the ramp back in March. Game Rant loved it, giving the latest entry in the seriesan incredible 9/10. Across major retailers,WWE 2K25is seeing a massive sale. On PlayStation and Xbox consoles, the game is currently being discounted by 50%, thus allowing wrestling fans to get a physical copy of the game at just $35 for a limited time.

The newly released Nintendo Switch 2 version ofWWE 2K25is not included in the 50% off sale.
What is The Island in WWE 2K25?
One of the biggest editions to this year’s release is the inclusion ofThe Island. It’s a bit similar toNBA 2K25’s The City modein that it’s an online setting where you and your friends can gather, explore, and play. It features a handful of districts to experience with varying options that revolve around theWWE’s Bloodline faction:
The Island is only playable on current generation versions ofWWE 2K25. So, while it’s playable on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S,the new mode isn’t available on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
What New Features are in WWE 2K25?
Outside of The Island,WWE 2K25is loaded with other great features.This year’s Showcase mode follows The Bloodline’s Dynasty throughout the years. It’s hosted by “The Wiseman”, Paul Heyman (naturally), and follows one of wrestling’s royal families. Wrestlers of note include Yokozuna, Rikishi, Jacob Fatu, Yokozuna, Jacob Fatu, The Rock, Roman Reigns, and more.
Intergender wrestling is now an option inWWE 2K25. MyGM has been greatly expanded upon and improved, including the option to experience it online with up to four players. There are new upgrades to WWE Universe,including the return of promos for the first time in years. And there’s now a new unified MyRise mode that incorporates a bunch of WWE talent in a totally new storyline.
Finally, we can’t talk about the greatness ofWWE 2K25without mentioning the incredible depth of its roster. The base game comes with over 300 WWE Superstars across several generations. About half are available from the gate, while the remaining will need to beunlocked by a variety of in-game means. And that doesn’t even include thenumerous waves of DLC packsthat bring even more talent to the digital roster.
If you’re a WWE fan, video game wrestling doesn’t get much better than this. And at half price,there’s been no better time than now to pin down your copy ofWWE 2K25.
