Thegame gives you all the toolsto bring your imagination to life. you’re able to even unlock new coaster designs and blueprints from the Research menu. To do that, however, you’ll need to get Research Points. In this guide, we’ll give you a crash course on all you need to know about getting Research Points and how it all works inPlanet Coaster 2.

How to Get Research Points in Planet Coaster 2

Research Points inPlanet Coaster 2are your primary currency to unlock new rides, attractions, or facilities for your park. To get Research Points, you’ll need to build a Planet Coaster Workshop first. You’ll find it in the Facilities section of the Build Menu.

You don’t have to hire staff for it, but you do need to connect it to a path. Once open, it will automatically hire a staff, and you’ll start generating a steady supply of Research Points that you can use to unlock new attractions.

Planet Coaster Workshop requires $426.00 to build.

You’ll see the amount of Research Points you’ve accumulated at the bottom of your screen on the left (beside the Park Rating). Clicking on it will bring you to the Research menu, where you can see all the available Research items and the requirements for unlocking them.

The unlock requirements only apply if you’re playing the Career Mode. If you’re playing in Sandbox Mode, you don’t need to worry about progressing through the Chapters. But you still have to unlock prior research before you’re able to access the new ones.

The only way to get Research Points inPlanet Coaster 2at the moment is to build Planet Coaster. Each Workshop yields around 14 Research points each second. So, as you progress through the game and expand your amusement park, you also need to build more Planet Coaster Workshops to keep your Research Points up andmake a profit from new ridesyou unlock.
