Summary
A prolificPokemonfan has recently designed a new evolution for Remoraid. ThePokemoncommunity is known for its talented artists, and coming up with new evolutions for beloved monsters is a common method for devising unique fan art with fresh ideas.
Remoraid is a Water-type creature that originally appeared inthe second generation ofPokemongames. Initially, Remoraid was a pretty rare catch, as it could only be found by using a Super Rod on Route 44 inPokemon Gold and Silver. Remoraid looks like a fish, and it has one official evolution, Octillery, which it evolves into at Level 25. Curiously, Octillery greatly resembles an octopus, which looks completely different from its pre-evolution. Remoraid can also influence Mantyke’s evolution. If a Mantyke gains one level while there’s a Remoraid in the party, it will evolve to Mantine.
Now, aPokemonfan artist called SayuriKoopa has shared a new evolution for Remoraid with the community. This new design, which is greatly inspired by Mantine, reimagines Remoraid in a similar position by being together with Riflish, a Grass/Water-type critter that looks like a riflefish. The fish-like creature has blue and green colors, what seems like a helmet, and its nose is a long rifle. The work was praised by the community, who loved SayuriKoopa’s design.
Pokemon Fan Art Depicts New Evolution for Remoraid
This was not the only amazing piece of work shared by SayuriKoopa recently. A few days ago, for example, the fan created anew Meloetta variant. In this new form, Meloetta was reimagined as a dual-type Normal/Ice monster with a blue and white color scheme.
In another artwork shared a few months ago, SayuriKoopa also designed anew evolution for Murkrow. Called Witchkrow, this new design turned the crow Pokemon into a witch, giving it a humanoid body with huge claws and a black hat. The unofficial design was a Dark/Fairy-type critter, and like the Remoraid, was greatly praised by the fanbase.
Other fans have also designed fan art imagining new forms of Remoraid in the past. For example, one fan created aregional variant of Remoraid. In this brand-new design, which was called Lemoraid, the critter was drawn as a lemon-shaped fish with bright yellow colors. The design also came with a shiny version, which had pink scales instead of yellow ones. Hopefully, other fans will continue to create amazing new forms for unique beasts such as Remoraid and its evolution Octillery in the future.
