Batches ofnew Pokemon are addedtoPokemon GOevery season, and now Niantic has started to tease new Pokemon that will be added at some point in the near future.
Pokemon GOwill be addingGeneration 8 Pokemon Morpekoin a future update. Morpeko is a unique Pokemon in that it can switch between two different types. While in Full Belly Mode, Morpeko is an Electric-type, but while in Hagrny Mode, Morpeko is a Dark-type. This unique trait will be featured inPokemon GOas well, with players able to switch types by using Morpeko’s Charged Attack Aura Wheel. This will make Morpeko one of the more unique Pokemon available inPokemon GO. A specific release date for Morpeko inPokemon GOhasn’t been announced at the time of this writing. Other Pokemon will be able to change forms inPokemon GObattles as well, but for now, the focus is on Morpeko.
Pokemon GO is Adding Morpeko
When Morpeko joinsPokemon GO, it will get fans one step closer to being able to complete theirGalar region Pokedex. There are still many Galar region Pokemon that have yet to make their way toPokemon GO, but perhaps they will join the game alongside Morpeko. Specifics to that effect haven’t been announced, but fans of the game should keep an eye out for more info.
Morpeko’sPokemon GOdebut was revealed as part of the August 18Pokemonfranchise announcements that took place during the Pokemon World Championships. That same event also saw Niantic tease the debut of Dynamax and Gigantamax forms inPokemon GO, while The Pokemon CompanyconfirmedPokemon Trading Card Game Pocketfor release on October 30.
Fans can expect plenty morePokemon GOupdatesthroughout 2024, though details on what all is on the way will have to wait for later. In the more immediate future,Pokemon GOplayers can look forward to Morpeko joining the game and the debut of Dynamax and Gigantamax forms.
