Pokemon GOfans have pointed out how the regular schedule of Community Day events can sometimes pose an inconvenience for players.Pokemon GOfrequently holds outdoor events throughout the year, with its current Delightful Days season featuring several Pokemon debuts.

Community Days inPokemon GOare monthly events that let players catch a ton of copies of the same Pokemon for a limited time. More often than not, the selected protagonist is either a rare Pokemon or a fan-favorite one, so players tend to look forward to this type of event. For example,Pokemon GO’s Quaxly Community Dayon July 20 will let players encounter its shiny version and add new Attacks for Quaquaval. However, players have also noticed a significant issue with Community Days, specifically their limited time frame.

On thePokemon GOsubreddit, player carlkentt wrote a post arguing that Community Day events shouldn’t run from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. They explained that this schedule is particularly troublesome during the summer due to the intense heat. In their opinion, these events should range either from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM or from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In this way, players won’t be too affected by the dangers of summer weather. In the comment section, many fans agreed with the original poster, arguing that Community Days should last even longer to benefit more players. “It’s easy to miss a three-hour window or two,” wrote one user. “All one-day events like Com Days and Raids Days, etc, should be six hours instead of three,” commented another. Other players reasoned that all similar events should run for two days, not just special cases likeEevee’s last Community Day Classic. This is because restricting Community Days to a few hours on a single day can cause conflict for players who work on weekends.

Pokemon GO Players Aren’t Happy with Community Day Schedules

On the other hand, many players mentioned that, since the weather varies depending on the hemisphere they live in, changing Community Day schedules to favor players going through summer could negatively affect those who are experiencing winter. As a solution, fans propose thatPokemon GO’s events should last longer globally or be adjusted according to each region. As carlkentt points out,Pokemon GOalready considers weather in-gameto warn players about their surroundings, so the developers could modify event hours to prevent issues.

As a global mobile game,Pokemon GOhas attempted to standardize its features gradually over time, but sometimes these regulations can affect the gameplay experience.Pokemon GO’s upcoming Rookidee Community Dayis scheduled for August 30. Unlike most similar events, players were able to select the starring Pokemon through an official poll.
