Some scalpers are selling the Collector Case ofPokemonHershey’s Kisses at ridiculous prices, with some listings reaching $350. The two companies announced a new collaboration in June 2025, introducing 151 uniquePokemonfoil designs to Hershey’s Kisses.
TheHershey’s Kisses andPokemoncollaborationquickly proved successful, with fans rushing to buy the themed products both in stores and online. The goal of the partnership has been to encourage fans to collect all 151 Pokemon Kisses and add them to their virtual Hershey Pokedex. At the start of the collab, there was also a sweepstakes to give away a limited-edition case designed to store all 151 foil designs featuring Kanto region Pokemon.
As reported byDexerto, some scalpers are now sellingPokemonHershey’s Kisses Collector Cases for up to $350, nearly theprice of a Nintendo Switch 2. Notably, these boxes are empty, as they’re meant to be filled with unique Kisses found in the chocolate bags. So, anyone hoping to complete the Pokedex-like case will also need to buy Hershey’s Kisses bags, each priced around $6. It’s also worth noting that these collectibles were originally given away to fans for free through a first-come, first-served sweepstakes, making the opening bids even more bizarre.
Pokemon Hershey’s Kisses Scalpers Are Not Alone
As absurd as the pricing on theseHershey’s Kisses Collector Cases may seem, they’re far from the onlyPokemoncollectibles going for steep prices on eBay. A quick search shows that some scalpers are reselling sealedPokemonand McDonald’s boxes for anywhere between $350 and $550. In fact, the franchise has a long history of collaborations that spark waves of scalpers looking to exploit people’s love forPokemon.
Of course, the constant high demand forPokemonmerchandise and collectibles has kept the market thriving for scalpers. Fans may remember that onePokemoncollector once paid over $80,000 for Cheetozard, a Charizard-shaped Cheeto. There are also people currently buying McDonald’s promotionalPokemoncards for up to $100 on eBay, and the list goes on.
So, there seems to be no end toPokemonscalpers trying to profit off limited-edition releases. While that is frustrating for fans, it also shows just how popular thePokemonfranchise remains and suggests that more collaborations are likely on the way. For example, McDonald’s Japan has recently teased a potential new collaboration withPokemon, which could bring even more cool collectibles for fans to chase, at least for those living in Japan.
