Pokemonfans will soon be able to accessorize with an Amazon-exclusive backpack themed after Espeon. This new gear is being released courtesy of fashion and apparel company Loungefly, which has collaborated with Nintendo in the past for a variety ofPokemon-themed backpacks and accessories, including a few modeled after Eevee and its many different alternate evolutions.
One of these so-called “Eeveelutions” is Espeon, a Psychic-type form introduced inPokemon Gold and Silver. Trainers can transform their Eevee into this catlike Sun Pokemon by either leveling it up with a high Friendship stat during the daytime in the mainlinePokemongames or exposing it to a Sun Shard in thePokemon XD: Gale of Darknessspin-off. Like the rest of Eevee’s evolutions, Espeon is fairly popular amongPokemonplayers, with some even makingcustom clothing like Espeon-themed shoesin addition to various works of fan art.
Now these fans will have an Espeon backpack to go with them, thanks to the latest crossover betweenPokemonand Loungefly. The new backpack will be exclusive toAmazon, and will be released on Jun 01, 2025. The front is modeled after Espeon’s face, complete with pointy, cat-like ears sticking out from the sides. The back is etched with the number 196, which is Espeon’sofficial designation in the Pokedex. Inside the backpack is a pattern of Espeon against a dark purple background, with a crystal ball-like symbol that also decorates the outer zippers.
Loungefly Espeon Backpack is Coming to Amazon
As noted before, Eevee and its Eeveelutions remain a popular subject of speculation forPokemonfans, who often try to predict when a new one will be added to the ever-growing list. There are plenty of elemental types that haven’t been represented by an Eeveelution yet, inspiring gamers to create their own custom Eevee forms. Sadly, there haven’t been any new Eevee evolutions since the Fairy-type Sylveon in Generation 6, though therecent Game Freak data breachrevealed that a Flying-type Eeveelution was planned forPokemon Sun and Moonbefore being cut.
As fans wait for yetanother Eeveelution to appear in a newPokemongame, there are plenty of ways to accessorize based on the ones that already exist, including the Psychic-type Espeon. Loungefly’s Espeon backpack will only be available to order at Amazon, and while the stylish item isn’t set to launch until late next month, players who want a unique pack for their next journey can pre-order one now.
