This means that trainers will have most of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays to group up and take on the legendary dragon of the Hoenn region. The Tera raid battle against Shiny Rayquaza will take place alongside a Mythical Pokemon distribution event that features Zarude, Keldeo, and Deoxys, which is scheduled to run in Japan from May 27, 2025, to June 16, 2025. Although the Shiny Rayquaza Tera raid will be a global event inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, it is currently unknown how the Mythical Pokemon distributions will be handled outside Japan.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Reveal First Details of Shiny Rayquaza Tera Raid
The Pokemon Company did not reveal what Tera-type Shiny Rayquaza would be, nor did it state its Star rating. However,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers can glean the available moves and base stats that Rayquaza has to see howthe battle against the Legendary Pokemoncould turn out. Rayquaza’s Air Lock ability negates all weather effects such as rain and intense sunlight, and its physical and special attack stats are 150 each. Alongside Dragon and Flying attacks, Rayquaza can also use Flamethrower, Ice Beam, and Thunderbolt as coverage against several Pokemon types.
