InPokemon Scarlet and Violet, Mass Outbreak events give players the opportunity to encounter specific Pokemon in repetition with ease, providing a great opportunity to hunt for shinies or monsters with competitive potential. Between the months ofJuly 2025 and September 2025, several Mass Outbreak events are scheduled to take place in-game, with each one focusing on a trio of Pokemon from different Types.
FromJuly 22, 2025, to July 05, 2025, the Mass Outbreak event inPokemon Scarlet and Violetconsists ofGrass-type monsters, and features Capsakid, Petilil, and Oddish. Capsakid, Petilil, & Oddish Mass Outbreak Event in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
InPokemon Scarlet and Violet, the Grass Type Mass Outbreak Event for Capsakid, Petilil, andOddishis available for players to enjoy in-game starting onJuly 22, 2025, at 5 PM PDT,and concluding onAugust 3, 2025, at 4:59 PM PDT. During this time, each one of these three Pokemon will be available to encounter in large groups within different in-game locations. All three of these Pokemon are also featured in the event for both the Scarlet and Violet versions of the game, so players will not need to worry about version exclusives this time around.

Furthermore,shiny Pokemonare more likely to appear when Mass Outbreak events are ongoing, and because Mass Outbreaks spawn several Pokemon of the same species within a single encounter, this provides one of the best chances for players to attempt a shiny hunt and possibly meet those lucky odds.
