Players have ways to snag additional Pack Hourglasses to speed up pack openings, as seen in the newPokemon TCG PocketEvent. The Genetic Apex Emblem event focuses on player-versus-player battles, and depending on the number of wins one achieves, they can earn an Emblem to showcase on their profile. There are also two event mission types, with one providing Pack Hourglasses simply for participating in battles and the other granting Shinedust for winning matches.
A New Pokemon TCG Pocket PvP Event Has Begun
The Genetic Apex Emblem event will run until November 28, giving players ample time to earn rewards. However, the event comes shortly after many players voicedfrustrations about PvP inPokemon TCG Pocket, noting that matches are dominated by meta decks and requesting a ranked mode. The Genetic Apex Emblem event doesn’t appear to have a skill-based matchmaking system, so match quality can vary wildly.
Players who want to participate in the PvP event but still have to create a noteworthy deck can try the ongoing Lapras event. This event pits the player against the CPU and offers a promotional pack as a reward for some victories. The pack can containa Lapras EX cardfor use in aPokemon TCG Pocketdeck, which is more than enough to start building a setup capable of taking on opponents in the Genetic Apex Emblem event. It’s worth noting that the PvP event provides Pack Hourglasses just for participating, and the rewards for winning are purely cosmetic. Even players without a powerful deck can enjoy the event until the month’s end.
Currently, three events are occurring inPokemon TCG Pocket: the Wonder Pick Event, the Lapras EX Drop Event, and the Genetic Apex Emblem event. These limited time activities give players an extra incentive to log into the game instead of waiting 12 hours to open a new pack.
