As reported byPC Gamer, Ubisoft CFO Frederick Duguet dropped a small tease during the studio’s recent Annual General Meeting with investors. He commented on some of the potential investments Ubisoft could pursue, explaining that the studio has several iconic brand names that could be “activated or reactivated with little investment.” One of these, he clarified, is the highlyawaitedPrince of Persia: The Sands of Timeremake, “which is going to be released very soon.”

Recently, the official Twitter account of the game confirmed to fans that the remake was still in development, being made by a “team that truly cares” and “ensuring the sands move with purpose.” Back in May, Ubisoft’s earnings report revealed that theSands of Timeremake’s release was set for July 02, 2025.
It’s unclear whether the CFO’s comments mean thePrince of Persia: The Sands of Timereleasewill happen earlier than March 31, though this is indeed an encouraging update for fans eager to dive back into the popular game. It’s worth noting that Duguet also teased the release of theSplinter Cellremake, which was a little bit vaguer, stating that it will happen “later on.” For now, fans should exercise patience and await an official announcement.
