This list contains spoilers up to the end of season 7 of My Hero Academia

Summary

When thinking about the Pro Heroes who make an appearance throughout the story ofMy Hero Academia, most fans' minds will immediately go to the likes of Endeavor, Aizawa, or, of course, the legendary All Might. This can make it easy for a lot of the other professionals to go under the radar, even though they may play a vital role in protecting the students and taking on any dangerous villains who threaten UA.

In other words, these characters can often be rather underappreciated, as they don’t tend to be the focus of many discussions or debates, despite still being in very prestigious positions. This list is going to try and give some credit to theseMy Hero AcademiaPro Heroes by analyzing what exactly they’ve contributed to the story, and also what has caused them to be so overshadowed in the wider plot.

8Uwabami

Despite Making A Rough First Impression, Uwabami Helps Out When It Truly Matters

By using her Serpentress Quirk, Uwabami is able to sense the location of those in danger from miles away, as she demonstrates during the hospital raid, where she can be seen rescuing multiple innocent bystanders. It’s clear Uwabami has done a lot of work behind the scenes to help keep Japan safe from the villains, despite this not seeming to be the case when she first shows up.

7Cementoss

Cementoss May Seem A Little Basic, But He Teaches The Students Some Truly Important Lessons

On the surface, the ability to control and manipulate cementjust doesn’t seem anywhere near as interesting or flashy as the Quirks possessed by many of the other Pro Heroes. When paired with his rather flat design, this can cause Cementoss to be largely forgotten about and underappreciated, considering he does still make a pretty big impact as a teacher.

This can be seen when he was tasked with going up against Kirishima and Sato during the final exam, where he humiliates the students and forces them to think about the true potential of their Quirks, and how they shouldn’t be wasting their abilities in the middle of a battle. Cementoss also proves to be a big asset during the final war in executing the heroes' plan of attack, so he’s definitely not someone who deserves to be swept under the rug.

6Present Mic

The Goofy Loud-Mouthed Hero Makes Some Pretty Big Contributions To The Story

Because Present Mic is largely presented as a hero who is very prone to goofing off in even the most serious of circumstances, it can be very easy to simply brush him off as a weird oddball. While he’s definitely a lot more upbeat and outlandish than most of the other professionals, it does feel as though Mic hasn’t been given the flowers he most certainly deserves for his contributions to the story.

A few examples of this include when Mic teamed up with Aizawa to interrogatethe shady villain known as Kurogiri, with Mic helping to support his friend during the intense process. It’s also important to remember that Mic was the one who shattered the capsule that Shigaraki was locked inside of while being experimented on by Garaki, and though this didn’t stop the villain once and for all, it did at least prevent him from reaching his maximum potential before being unleashed.

5Death Arms

Though Death Arms appears pretty early on in the series to accompany Mount Lady, he disappears for a good bulk of the story after that, only showing up in flashes every now and again. After witnessingthe destruction caused by Shigaraki in Jaku City, resulting in numerous heroes losing their lives, Death Arms decided it was time to hang up his powerfists for good, officially retiring and turning his back on UA in the process.

As a result of this, it can be easy to see him as a weak and rather forgettable member of UA, but what many people forget is that the Death Arms did eventually make a grand return. Not someone to sit around while the other heroes take all the glory, Death Arms courageously joins in with the Final War, where he uses his superior strength to rescue civilians who are trapped under rubble in debris. Therefore, he’s a pretty underappreciated professional who made the brave decision to partake in a conflict that he knew would be highly dangerous.

4Power Loader

The Mysterious Pro Hero Has Been A Great Help To Deku And The Other Students

As someone who would rather remain in the shadows rather than take up the spotlight, Power Loader gets barely any screen time over the course of the series, though he has still contributed a lot to the heroes' efforts. For example, Power Loader would be there to help the students test out their skills during not only the U.S.J Arc, but also the first and final exam, where he uses his experimental mech to dish out damage.

Most of the time, though, Power Loader can be found in the engineering room, creating newsupport gearand uniforms for Deku and the others. While his partner, Mai, might get most of the credit when it comes to crafting the hero’s gear, Power Loader also deserves to be acknowledged for his involvement, even though he may not be all that fond of receiving compliments.

3Nezu

Nezu Is deceivingly strong Thanks To His Superior Intellect

BecauseNezu is the president of UA, this often overshadows the fact that he is also technically a Pro Hero. Sure, he may not be as gung-ho as Endeavor or All Might, but despite his size, Nezu is still capable of dealing some serious damage, as he made crystal clear when he caused Kaminari and Mina to fail their exam by using a wrecking ball to destroy the arena around them.

He also often goes underappreciated for the amount of time and effort he puts into protecting the students. After the disastrous U.S.J. incident, for example, Nezu would show his face on a live broadcast where he publicly apologised to the entire country so that his students wouldn’t receive any blame or criticism. He has also been instrumental in getting the Pro Heroes together to organize an effective attack strategy, such as with the hospital raid or the final war.

2Thirteen

Despite Being Humiliated Early In The Series, Thirteen Still Put Their Life On The Line To Save Her Students

Thirteen has become somewhat of a punching bag of a character, primarily due to the humiliating defeat she faced very early on in the story at the hands of Kurogiri. Many viewers took this as a sign that Thirteen was simplya weak Pro Hero, but it’s still important to acknowledge that she was willing to put her own life on the line if it meant saving the students she was tasked to protect.

An example of this is how Thirteen commanded Ida to run back to UA as quickly as possible so that he could alert All Might and the others that the villains had finally arrived. Thirteen would also be there to accompany Deku after he went rogue, and also played her part in fending off the army of villains in the final war. Mistakes can happen, and while Thirteen struggles to recover from that defeat back at U.S.J., it shouldn’t be enough to tarnish her entire reputation.

1Edgeshot

Edgeshot Has Drastically Changed The Course Of The Series Multiple Times

Edgeshot isn’t often considered to be one of the more prominent Pro Heroes, since he doesn’t receive anywhere near as much screen time as All Might, Endeavor, or Hawks. Despite that, though, this Pro Hero has changed the story in some pretty drastic ways, with one prime example being how he managed to take down Re-Destro to stop his rampage in Jaku City.

By far the most important example of this is how Edgeshot was able to use his Quirk to enter Bakugo’s body after the hero had been killed. Bystitching his organs back together, Edgeshot revived Bakugo so that he could continue fighting in the war, and it’s not a stretch to say that if Edgeshot wasn’t there, the fan favorite Bakugo would be long gone. Edgeshot doesn’t tend to receive the same level of appreciation as some of the higher-ranking Pro Heroes, though he’s definitely deserving of it, considering everything he’s accomplished.
