Summary

It would not be aBlack Opsgame without some form of the Nuketown map included.Call of Duty: Black Ops 6fulfills this requirement by including not only the map, but by also featuring a playlist that rotates different game modes exclusively through this classic level.

Nuketown splits the difference between a uniquely designed, natural-feeling map and a closed space where people can rack up kills and improve their K/D (kill-to-death ratio) like Shipment or Rust. This only works for players who know what they are doing, though, so it can help if gamers are aware of sometips for winning in Nuketown.

8Use The GPR91 Or KSV

Go For Medium Range Efficiency

Every gun has its advantages and disadvantages. Firearms with a great close-range time-to-kill have heavy damage drop-off once enemies are far away. For something that splits the difference, the GPP91 is a great option for close shootouts that will not leave the player helpless when engaged in medium-range encounters.

Those who want something specifically for close-range encounters will want to go for the KSV. Attachments should focus on quick ADS (aiming down the sights) times and reducing recoil.

Marksmen rifles also have their use on this map. Players just need to be ready to jam on the trigger, since they are semi-automatic.

7Prioritize Caution Over Run-And-Gun

Take It Slow To Get The First Shot Off

Black Ops 6is a fast gameeven by the already fast standard set by the series. Smart players can use this to their advantage. They do not need to be like everybody else and madly sprint everywhere; this is a surefire way to run right into someone’s crosshair.

It is okay to take it slow and keep the gun pointed in front almost at all times. This way, players will be ready for whatever jumps out around the corner. In a game all about reflexes, it pays to already have the gun out when an enemy player will need to take the extra time to aim.

6Watch Out For Snipers

There Are A Lot Of Vantage Points In Nuketown

The obvious points for snipersare the windows on the second floor of each house. These have a great view of the action below, but there are some blindspots players can quickly run through to avoid these. A less noticeable place snipers camp at is at the back corners of the backyard for each of these houses.

This provides a straight ahead view of the alleyways in front of them, making anyone who runs through them an easy target. Expert marksmen only need enemies to pop their heads out for half a second to get a shot off, so those hoping to stay alive should steer clear and be aware of this spot.

5The Windows Act As Good Vantage Points

Get The Height Advantage

Just as enemies can use the windows to their advantage, so too can those trying to take them down. The windows work better than the alleyways for general combat, because they provide a height advantage, and enemies will generally be closer. Where the sides of the house require a sniper rifle, the windows are a good vantage point for assault rifles or SMGs.

Players need to be aware, though, that enemies can sneak up from behind, either from the backyard or from the staircase. Thankfully,Blast Traps and Spring Mineswill help alleviate the possibility of an ambush.

4Spawn Points Don’t Always Ensure Safety

Players Will Need To Have Their Wits About Them When Respawning

The Nuketown map is so small that, even in a game mode where the spawn points dynamically change based on the action, it is easy to get picked off immediately after respawning.

Players should not let their guard down at the start of a new life. Some enemies will zoom around the map and quickly arrive at where the opposing team will spawn, even if the game means for it to be a safe location. It is not a problem on bigger maps, but in a space as small as Nuketown, it is bound to happen. Fast reflexes are a must for those hoping to survive these deadly encounters.

3Recon Specialty

See People Through Walls

Equipping three Perks of the same specialty, marked by being of the same color, unlocks a bonus Combat Specialty. The Recon Combat Specialty is helpful in general, but in Nuketown, it is invaluable.

Being able to see enemies through walls after respawning leads players in the right direction and easily prevents others from getting the drop on them. The otherPerks to make the Recon Combat Specialtyare down to personal preference, except for Tracker. Seeing enemy footsteps on a small map like this always leads to a free kill or two.

2Camp In Corners But Also Watch Out For Them

Corners Can Be Ideal Spots For Campers To Strike From

Telling someone to camp as a strategy is taboo. In a fast-paced map like Nuketown, one cannot stay still for long. Thankfully, the sound design is good enoughthat players can hear where an enemy is coming from if they are running.

If they are coming in the player’s direction, you should jump into a corner and wait for them to rush by before blasting them in the back. Adversely, one should keep an eye out for corners when running; plenty of enemies are just as eager to use the same strategy.

1Don’t Use Scorestreaks That Leave You Vulnerable

Never Let Your Guard Down

Some fun Scorestreaks put the player in direct control of an RC-Car or even a helictopter gun. However, these leave the player vulnerable. Where other maps have plenty of hiding places to use such Scorestreaks in peace, Nuketown offers no such luxury.

The game lets players use the Scorestreak until it finishes, but an enemy will most likely come and eliminate the person using it, thus ending the streak. It is better to use Scorestreaks that still let the player move, aim, and shoot; this will allow them to defend themselves while the scorestreak does its work.
