PlayStation Plusmembers now know which titles will be hitting the service in August.PlayStation Plusoffers three games each month as part of the Essential plan, and Sony has announced thatLies of P,DayZ, andMy Hero: One’s Justice 2will bethe next to be added. All three will be free to claim for those on the Essential and higher tiers beginning on August 5 through September 2, and each brings something to the table for fans across a couple of great genres and styles.
This month’s lineup reveal came one day earlier than expected, as Sony usually provides the titles on the last Wednesday of each month.
Lies of P
One of the most striking and successful Soulslikes in recent memory,Lies of P’s dark spin on the classic fairy tale of Pinocchio in a haunting Gothic world resulted in a wholly compelling experience. Developer Neowiz took the familiar framework and characters and dropped them into a Victorian steampunk setting full of danger and mystery. DayZ
Beginning its life as a mod forArma 2,DayZhas since gone on to become one of the longest-lasting and well-liked multiplayer online survival titles. After spending an extended five-year period in early access, the full PC version was released in 2018, being ported to consoles in 2019.DayZoffers an intense take on open-world FPS survival, as players must navigate, scavenge, and work to survive in a fictional post-Soviet state based on real-world locations, but one that is infested with hordes of infected. My Hero: One’s Justice 2
