Regardless of its deceptive premise, theHot Wheels Unleashedseries has been well-received since it began in 2021. Last October saw the release ofHot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, which, despite its average reception, was largely only received as such for lacking substantial improvements to the first game’s formula. Nevertheless, it continues what the first game started by providing players with a fast-paced arcade racing experience that is quite unlike anything else out there. Players can race in five different environments inTurbocharged(an arcade, a family backyard, a mini-golf course, a museum, and a gas station diner), and can even create their own tracks as they could in the first game.Turbochargedalso includes two new vehicle types, new abilities, and new gameplay modes.

In the game, up to 10 players divide up into 2 teams (Kira and his followers or L and his investigators) to either eliminate L or seize the Death Note from Kira by uncovering each player’s true identity. The game is online only and requires plenty of strategy from both teams if they wish to emerge victorious.
