[UPDATE:It seems that the issue has been fixed by the development team. If you continue to see an absurdly high flee rate, try closing the application and starting it again. As an apology, players can redeem the code POKEBALL50 until August 1 to earn 50 PokeBalls. The original post follows.]
No, you probably aren’t shadowbanned inPokemon GO. There appears to be areallynasty bug happening in the mobile game right now that is preventing players from catching Pokemon due toevery monster running away after players toss the first PokeBall. Even with the help of berries to increase the chance of capture, it seems that Pokemon are still fleeing after the first try at capturing.
All Pokemon are Running Away in Pokemon GO
I decided to go to my phone and check outPokemon GOfor myself once I noticedLeekduck’s tweetand a post on thePokemon GOsubreddit. And from the comments on both, it appears a bunch of other players are experiencing the same thing. I tried to catch some Pokemon myself a few times, and the instant fleeing is also happening to me.
I attempted to restart my phone and the Pokemon GO app, but the issue is still persisting. In this case, for people wanting the issue to be fixed by the developers, it may be a matter of waiting it out. We’ll be sure to update this post once we hear an update!
