Summary

Developer Krafton has releasedPUBG: Battlegroundsupdate 32.2, introducing a new vehicle, arcade mode, crafter pass, and more. With update 32.2, Krafton has also addressed several UX/UI aspects ofPUBG: Battlegroundsand fixed many bugs.

PUBG: Battlegroundsis a battle royale game where players are dropped onto an island and have to scavenge for weapons and supplies to survive against other players while the battleground constantly shrinks. The game helped popularize the battle royale genre, butPUBGhas faced challenges keeping up with newer titleslikeFortnite,Apex Legends, andCall of Duty: Warzone, which feature faster gameplay and better graphics. Still, the developer isn’t done yet and continues updating the game to keep its player base engaged.

An important highlight of update 32.2 is “Hot Drop,” a new arcade mode designed for those looking for fast-paced action. In this mode, players are confined to smaller, intense zones onpopularPUBGmapslike Erangel, Miramar, and Taego. These zones make each match shorter, featuring a tight, rapidly shrinking safe zone and limited supplies, forcing players into quick combat. Another key addition is the “Inflatable Boat”, a paddle-powered vehicle for water travel. The Inflatable Boat can carry up to four players, providing a more tactical alternative to motorized boats.

Moreover, the update introduces the “Crafter Pass,” a feature that adds new rewards and crafting events for players. Players can now unlock exclusive progressive weapon skins and chromas by using tokens earned during gameplay through the Black Market’s Special Crafting section. This crafting system aims to enhancePUBG’s weaponcustomization, providing players with more ways to personalize their gear.

Krafton has also rolled out several quality-of-life improvements. Now, spectators can check teammates' inventories, and key items like shields and emergency pickups have usage indicators. The communication system has been made smoother too by refining the “Enemy Spotted” ping to make it work more responsively on both console and PC, making it easier for players to coordinate. Additionally, players will now see a notification when they receive temporary or permanent items as rewards.

LikepreviousPUBGupdates, this patch includes several bug fixes, addressing visual clipping issues with certain skins and resolving vehicle and equipment bugs. These fixes improve both the look and functionality of the game while also tackling console-specific issues. With this update, thePUBG: Battlegroundsdeveloper aims to maintain its place in the battle royale scene. The new content and improvements show Krafton’s commitment to keepingPUBGfresh and engaging.
