A recent performance comparison from YouTuber Brazil Pixel between the PS5 and PS5 Pro versions ofResident Evil 4shows that the remake achievesa locked 60fps at a native 4K (3840x2160) resolutionon the new console, that too with ray tracing and hair effects on. ThePS5 version of theResident Evil 4remake, meanwhile, hovers around 55fps at the same settings.Brazil Pixel uploaded a separate videowhere they turned off theResident Evil 4remake’s ray tracing and hair effects and reduced the resolution to 1080p, resulting in the framerate rising to 95-120fps.
Evidently, theResident Evil 4remake sees a substantial performance boost thanks to thePS5 Pro’s boosted specs. While performance in the 120fps mode leaves a little stability to be desired, the solid 60fps performance with cranked settings will be more than adequate for many PS5 Pro users.
