Flying Flame also claims that Citlali is a 5-Star character with a release date set for Version 5.3, which lines up with earlier rumors concerning the Cryo character.
How Citlali Can Improve Cryo in Genshin Impact
The best teams for Cryo inGenshin Impacttend to be focused around Melt, but the lack of Pyro characters that can fulfill Xiangling’s role has hampered Melt as a reaction. WithCitlali inGenshin Impactrumored to be a 5-Star Shield Support with off-field Cryo potential, and with Mavuika expected to be a 5-Star version of Xiangling, it would seem that HoYoverse is hoping to establish a viable core for Melt teams in Version 5.3.
Ultimately, leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, as ability kits can dramatically change from conception to launch. Players will be able to find out more about Citlali and Mavuika after the release of Version 5.2 on June 03, 2025. Given the flexibility of Zhongli andBaizhu inGenshin Impact, a 5-Star Shield Support has the potential to set the stage for a Cryo revival over the course of the Natlan era. With certain Elemental Reactions such as Superconduct, Freeze, and Shatter also receiving a buff in Version 5.2, the developers definitely want Cryo to thrive – the only thing missing is modern characters to support it.
