A well-known leaker thinks that there will be aNintendo Directlivestream in the next nine days. 2025 has been an exciting year forNintendofans thanks to the Switch 2, which launched in June alongsideMario Kart Worldand a host of other launch titles. A little over a month later,Donkey Kong Bananzawon gamers over with its fun destruction mechanics, providing the Switch 2 with another smash hit right out of the gate.

Nintendo still has several promising first-party games planned for the remainder of 2025, and rumors suggest that anew Nintendo Direct livestreammay showcase some of them in July. Little over a week ago, YouTube user and industry leaker NateTheHate claimed that this Direct would happen sometime in the latter part of the month, afterDonkey Kong Bananzahit store shelves and became a juggernaut success. On Twitter, NateTheHate recently maintained their belief that aNintendo Direct will be heldbefore the end of July. When asked by another Twitter user if this supposed Nintendo Direct will still happen, NateTheHate said that “to their knowledge” it will. NateTheHate has correctly predicted things like the Nintendo Switch 2’s launch date, and past rumors have claimed that third-party developers are waiting to announce big things for the new console. However, these reports should still be taken with a grain of salt until more substantial announcements are made.

July 2025 Nintendo Direct Still Expected

The resulting Twitter thread is filled with questions about whether or not the Nintendo Direct in question will be centered aroundupcoming first-party titles likeMetroid Prime 4: Beyond,or will instead be a “Partners” showcase focused on third-party software. Earlier this week, Nintendo shed further light onPokemon Legends: Z-Aduring a Pokemon Presents livestream, but there are still plenty of exciting games without official release dates likeHyrule Warriors: Age of ImprisonmentorKirby Air Riders.

Perhaps these titles will be shown off during the rumored July 2025 Nintendo Direct livestream, which NateTheHate thinks will happen sometime in the next week or so. Other Nintendo fans are hoping for new announcements forlong-dormant franchises likeStar Foxor theMariobaseball games. If there really is a Nintendo Direct planned for July 2025,Nintendowill likely announce it soon, given there are only nine more days left in the month.
