A recent leak suggests thatPokemon TCG Pocket’s upcoming A4 expansion will be based onGold and Silver, meaning the set might revolve around Gen 2 creatures. However, this doesn’t appear to be the only leak about the upcomingPokemon TCG Pocketset, as the original leaker also shared predictions about A4’s follow-up mini-sets.

Fans have already speculated thatPokemon TCG Pocket’s next set is arriving on July 30. This was later supported by the announcement of a major update to the Trade feature planned to go live on July 29. Now, ahead of Pokemon Presents, which is expected to reveal the A4’s teaser trailer, a potential leak is proposing some interesting theories about the anticipated set.

Initially revealed by aleaker known as CranAYO, some potentially datamined shop accessories suggest that A4 could be aPokemon Gold and SilverGen 2 set. According to the same findings, the leaker also claims that A4a, the first mini-set of the fourth expansion, will feature baby Pokemon like Pichu. Additionally, and perhaps even more notably, the mini-set after that isspeculated to introduce Mega Evolutions toPokemon TCG Pocket.

Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Potential A4, A4a, and A4b Leaks

Mega Evolutions were expected to come toPokemon TCG Pocket, and it would make sense for the game to introduce them in October, around the same timePokemon Legends: Z-Alaunches. As for the rest of the leak, fans seem divided over its legitimacy. Some skeptics argue it wouldn’t make sense forPokemon TCG Pocketto introduce the long-awaited Mega Evolutions in a Gen 2 mini-set rather than a Kalos-themed one. Others believe that even if the datamined information is accurate, it isn’t enough to predict the particulars of all three upcoming sets.

One thing to note, however, is thatPokemon TCG Pocket’s Extradimensional Crisisset has already shown that major cards can be introduced through a mini-set. For those unfamiliar, it added Ultra Beasts to the game, which was a significant move. So, it’s not all that unlikely for DeNA’s digital trading card game to present Mega Evolutions in a similar fashion.

That said, all these leaks and speculations should be taken with a grain of salt, as there’s no solid evidence to support them. Fortunately, the A4 set will soon be officially revealed, which should put most of these rumors to rest. Those looking tolearn more about the upcomingPokemon TCG Pocketsetshould definitely mark July 22 on their calendars, as its trailer will likely be shown during tomorrow’s Pokemon Presents.
