Summary
ASims 4player shared the creepy in-game shrine they’ve built to their Sim’s dead husbands in the basement. The odd scene is due largely to a challenge the player recently completed, and has struck fellowSims 4players as an interesting way to pay tribute to the deceased.
Players ofThe Sims 4have plenty of options on what they can do to have fun, and some players engage in particular challenges. Challenges inThe Sims 4give players a strict set of guidelines to follow, with the reward largely being bragging rights. This particular challenge likely took the player quite some time to achieve, and it’s interesting to see the results of their Sim’s actions.
Reddit user andSims 4player PinkSinsila shared the basement shrine they’ve built to all of their Sim’s deceased husbands. A few images of the room were shared, panning around each wall to show off the shrines. Each shrine contains a wedding photo, Sims selfies, flowers, candles, and the urn of the deceased. A Sim can be seen sitting in the middle of the room, looking rather contented despite the numerous losses. However, it’s likely due to the fact that all of thesedead Sims' deaths were intentional.
Why Did This Sim Have So Many Late Husbands?
There’s a lot of ways and reasons for a Sim to die inThe Sims 4, but in this case, the deaths weren’t an accident. PinkSinsila has completedThe Sims 4Black Widow Challenge, which tasks the player with romancing and marrying a Sim, cheating on them, and then killing them after the infidelity is discovered. The Sim then moves on to marry the Sim they had cheated with, only to repeat the process up until they’ve disposed of ten spouses.
While this challenge is a bit grim, it’s one of many ways for players to keep themselves occupied in the game. PinkSinsila explained that since they finished the challenge they haven’t really played the save in live mode as much, as they’re now being haunted by several angrySims ghosts. Other players praised the fan for their creative display of the urns, with some expressing that they hadn’t known what to do with theirs aside from just leaving them in storage. However, there is one potential drawback; the ghosts of urns kept on a Sim’s property can haunt the home. So, by building this shrine, the player subjected their Sim to a bunch of angry, ghostly husbands.
TheSimsplayers can get into a lot of strange and grim moments in their games with the fate of their Sims largely left up to their machinations. One of the most well-known of these is simplyremoving ladders fromThe Sims 4’s swimming pools, preventing Sims from leaving until they die of exhaustion.
