InZOI Delays Early Access Release Date
Despite reports thatinZOIwas still targeting a 2024 releasejust last month, the game’s director and producer has now confirmed that the title is being pushed back to July 11, 2025. In a new statement on the game’s official Discord channel (viaIGN), Kim noted that the huge turnout forinZOI’s Canvas feature, which allowed users to upload their creations for others to download during the character studio demo earlier this year, brought the team “immense happiness.” However, the director also says it made the studio “realize the responsibility” it has to provide players with “the most complete experience possible.”
Kim goes on to explain that after the studio reviewed fan feedback and analyzed “a wealth of data” from various playtests, it has decided to releaseinZOIin early access next year. “We apologize that we couldn’t bring you the game sooner, but this decision reflects our commitment to givinginZOIthe best possible start,” the game’s director said. While the delay is disappointing, thehigh expectations frominZOImeans fans aren’t surprised that the game’s early access launch won’t be coming this year. Over on Reddit, userMiszGiasays they are “fine” with the delay and would rather have an actual release date with a polished early-access launch.
Fans will also likely be pleased to know thatinZOIhasn’t been canceled, unlikeParadox Interactive’s now-scrappedLife by You,which was delayed multiple times before ultimately being canceled back in June. The news came as a massive shock to many looking forward to a trueSimscompetitor, especially given that the title was scheduled to launch in early access on June 4 before receiving an indefinite delay, which would then turn into a full-blown cancelation. Thankfully, fans looking for a new life simulation game still haveinZOIto look forward to next year.
